What’s In My Bag?

What’s In My Bag? posts are my favorite types of posts to read! Why do I like seeing what other people carry around with them? I don’t know, I just do. Here’s what’s in mine!

The bag that I am currently carrying is the Marc Jacobs Classic Q Hillier Hobo in the color Blush. I purchased it last year from Zappos, but I know they carry them at Nordstrom too.

Wallet – This wallet is the Kate Spade Mikas Pond Stacy Wallet in the color Vivid Snapdragon. Obviously, I love the color. I love anything hot pink! This wallet is perfect for holding all of my cards, receipts, and coupons.
Sunglasses – These are black cat-eye sunglasses from F21. They are a bit oversized and I think they look retro chic! And they were like $3!
Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens – These are little blotting papers for when ya face gets shiny.
Kenra Volume Spray – I love this hairspray, it doesn’t leave your hair crunchy, and it smells really good. I keep a little bottle in my bag with me because I love me some big ol Texas hair!
Kleenex Pocket Packs – I have a 2 year old. Enough said.
Big Red, Trident, and Tic Tacs – Apparently I have a bad breath phobia/complex.
Car Keys – because I need to go places…
Kellogs Fruity Snacks – I always keep a treat for Allison in my bag, these are her favorite!
L’occitane En Provence Pivoine Flora Eau de Toilette – This is my favorite perfume besides Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle. The name means Peony flower, and it smells just like fresh peonies. I love it, and the rollerball is perfect to toss in your bag.
Makeup Bag – This makeup bag was free from Clinique, and it is the perfect size to fit all of my makeup neccessities.

In my makeup bag – MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation in NW20, Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me, NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Tea Rose, Chanel Glossimer Lipgloss in Mirage, Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose’, Burts Bees original chapstick, MAC lipsticks in See Sheer and Sweetie, and a Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes eyeliner in Black. I like to have options when it comes to lipcolor!

So what’s in your bag?

DIY Tinted Moisturizer

Since its super hot already here in Texas, I don’t feel like wearing heavy foundation all day. I came up with an idea on how to make my own tinted moisturizer, using my favorite concealer, and my everyday moisturizer. I thought I would share it!

What you will need:
your favorite liquid concealer
daytime moisturizer (night cream would be too heavy for this)
A small empty sample jar or container
Tiny spoon for mixing

Here’s what I used:

MAC Pro Longwear concealer in NW15 ($18, MAC)
Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer ($14, drugstores)
An empty sample jar

Ok, now that you have all of your ingredients, take one pump of concealer, and one pump of moisturizer (equal parts) and mix them together in your sample jar. After you mix it really good, you can use your fingers or whatever you normally apply foundation with. I apply it to my face with a stippling brush.

It’s that simple! This tinted moisturizer will give you medium coverage, and feels so light for the summer. I really recommend this concealer, it is awesome for covering up dark circles under the eyes, and it blends out nicely for this tinted moisturizer. I have tried other concealers and moisturizers, but these are the best products that I have came up with. Hope you try it out!

Friday Favorite!

Hello, and welcome to my first blog post! Today is Friday, which means I will post my favorite product of the week!

This Friday’s Favorite is…

The Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in the color Rose’.

This is a tinted lip balm that gives a pretty hint of color to the lips. Here it is on mine:

It has SPF 15, and smells like lemon cake! It is super hydrating on the lips, and this particular color gives a sheer, berry pinkish tint.

It gives a pretty, “my lips but better” kind of look! It is perfect to throw in your bag and touch up on the go. I’ve been loving this for the summer! Hope you guys like it too!
