Hi Guys! So, as you can probably tell, I love nail strips. They are so fun, and very easy to do! They last and last, until you want to take them off. Today, I am going to demonstrate how to do them, and give you a tip on how you can get 2 manicures out of one box! Let’s get started!
The nail strips I’m going to use today are the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in #520, Spring Fever.
Isn’t this design so cute and summery? LOVE! Here is what comes in the box:
You get 2 little foil packets each containing 8 various-sized nail strips, an instruction booklet, a nail file, and a little orange stick for cleaning up cuticles and sides. Now, here is my top-secret tip. Put away one of the foil packets to save for later, because I am gonna show you how to do this manicure with just ONE of the packets! YAY!
Ok, so first, take off the foil backing on the packet.
Inside the packet, there are 8 various sized strips. Measure which strip goes on which finger, and lay them out in a row. Set aside the other 3 strips.
Take the first strip, and peel off the plastic cover.
Next, peel off the strip. It is sticky on the back, so be careful not to tear it.
Place the nail strip on your nail.
Fold the end of the strip over your nail, and gently tear it away.
Here is what you will have left. Gently tear away the gray part of the strip, and use the other end on the same nail on your other hand!
Now, just fold that end over and file off the excess of both nails.

Repeat this process on all of your other nails, and finish off with a topcoat. My favorite is China Glaze No Chip Topcoat.
And there you go! This manicure will last you a really long time! I usually get tired of it after a week, so I end up changing it, but it doesn’t chip or anything!
The only thing I don’t like about these strips are that once you open the foil packet, you have to use those strips or they will dry out. The 3 strips that you didn’t use just go to waste. I have tried saving them in a ziploc, but they always dry out. Too bad you can’t just save one for an accent nail or something. It’s great how you can get two manicures out of these boxes, though!
