Friday Favorite – Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo

Hi everyone! Today’s Friday Favorite is the Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Fortifying Shampoo.

I use this shampoo once a week as a clarifying shampoo. Using this once a week takes all of the buildup out of my hair from styling products such as dry shampoo and hairspray. I wash my hair about 3 times a week, so I usually end up using this shampoo along with a thick conditioning mask on Sundays. This shampoo really leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean. Now, I do not have color treated hair, so I am not sure if this shampoo would be stripping or drying to color treated hair.

This shampoo is free from silicones and parabens, and is supposed to leave you will stronger, healthier hair with no weigh down. It claims to provide daily refreshment with no heavy residue and weightless shine.

I would not use this shampoo every day, I think it may start drying your hair out, so I would just use this once a week. It smells like citrus, and it is a clear formula that lathers up really good when you get it into your hair.

It is also very affordable, it usually retails for about $3, and you can find it at drugstores and grocery stores. They also almost always have coupons in the paper every Sunday for Garnier hair products. I have purchased this shampoo probably about 5 times, and I really recommend it if you are looking for a great clarifying shampoo.

Have you tried this shampoo? What’s your favorite shampoo? Let me know in the comments!

Hope you guys have a great weekend, and thanks for reading! 🙂

Mani Monday – Sky Blue

Hi everyone! Hope y’all had a great weekend! Today’s mani is a creamy sky blue color by The Balm.

This color is called Sky Blue Right Past You. I just love blue nail polish, I think it looks fresh and hip. These Balm nail polishes are a great formula, they go opaque with just two coats and they don’t chip.

You can find these nail polishes at Nordstrom, they are $10, but The Balm cosmetics are sometimes featured on Hautelook, so you can also find them there if you catch a sale!

Hope you guys liked this mani! Tell me what is on your nails!

Crazy Bag Lady

Now, when it comes to shopping, my motto is always,

“If you love something, you can’t set it free.”

What it means is, if you see something you like at a store, and you really want it…DON’T SET IT FREE! You have to buy it right then, or else it may not be there next time! This has happened too many times to me in the past, and so I never let it happen anymore! When I am out shopping and I see something I like, I usually just buy it. I am quite the impulse shopper, especially when it comes to bags…they are my weakness. I just whisper to myself, “YOLO!” to make myself feel better. haha.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, I was at the mall spending some of the money that I got for my birthday, and of course, I had spent it all when I saw this bag. It was a brown tote bag covered in gold and brown fringe. Now, let me just tell you, I have spent MY WHOLE LIFE looking for the perfect fringed bag. I love fringe, I don’t know why, I just love it. It is hard to find a fringe bag that doesn’t look cheap though. I have always been into that whole, hippie-boho-music festival- type of look. So I saw this bag, and it was perfect. Now ordinarily, I would have just bought the bag and been done with it. Haha. But, my husband was with me, and he had just given me a new bag THAT MORNING for my birthday, that I had been really wanting. So, I just said “oh, this is cute” and in my mind I was thinking, “I HAVE TO HAVE THIS BAG! DONT SET IT FREE, DONT SET IT FREEEEE!”

But, alas, I set it free.

Now, that was two weeks ago, and I have not forgotten about that damn bag. So today, I decide to take Allie to the mall to go play on the indoor playground they have there. (And to go visit the bag.) So, I go into Dillard’s, fully intending to pay the $88 for this bag…and what do I see?

A pink discount sticker! SCOREEEEE!!! Marked down from $88 to $61.60! AHHH! So I am doing my victory dance for all to see when the Sales lady comes over and says, “Oh, Maam, those bags are all 40% off the sale price! Let me know if you need any help”

40% off?!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH! It is meant to be. I have to have this bag in my life. I ended up paying $40.01 including tax. What a deal! Don’t you love when this type of stuff happens? It seriously makes my life.

My new bag and I are going to have a wonderful life together.

If you are interested in this bag, it is the brand Steve Madden, and it is a Vegan bag (no leather), and it comes in a black and also a cream color. I have seen it at Dillards, Macy’s, and Belk. They also have it on Zappos for the original $88.

Leave a comment below telling me about some crazy deals that y’all have scored!

Have a great weekend 🙂

Everyday Bronze Eye

Hi everyone! Today I am going to show you how to do my everyday eye makeup that I have been wearing lately. I have been using a bronze-y colored cream shadow with just a lighter taupe color in the crease. I hope you like this look!

First, I take this cream shadow, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze, on my finger and apply it to my entire eyelid, taking it up to the crease.

The next thing I do is take the color Naked 2 from the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, and apply that shadow to my crease to help blend out any harsh lines.

Taking the color Phloof from MAC, I use this as a inner corner highlight and use it to highlight under my browbone. This helps your eyes to look brighter.

The next thing I do is take my Jordana Fabuliner in 02 Brown, and line my top lashline, getting as close to the lashes that I can.

Then, I take the Loreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in Carbon Black, and tightline the top of my lashline, so there is not that white space on the waterline.

Then, I take Benefit’s Eye Bright pencil and line my lower waterline. This pinky-white color makes your eyes look more awake and bright.

The last thing I do is curl my eyelashes and apply mascara. I am using a Tarte eyelash curler, and Maybelline’s Volum’ Express The Rocket Mascara.

Here is the finished look.

With the rest of my makeup:

Other Products Used:
Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation in Classic Ivory
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light
MAC Espresso eye shadow for brows
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hr Blush in Dollface
MAC Lovelorn Lipstick

Hope you guys like this makeup look! What have you been wearing on your eyes lately?

Let me know if you would like a review or demo on any of these products shown!
Have a great day, and thanks so much for reading!

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Review + Swatches

Hi Guys! Hope y’all are having a great week. Today I am going to review these Milani Color Statement Lipsticks.

First off, I love the gold packaging of these lipsticks. They are so pretty and chic. The lipstick has a yummy watermelon scent and they are very moisturizing and creamy. They also have great color payoff.

I picked up 3 colors, Nude Creme, Fruit Punch, and Flamingo Pose.

Here they are on my lips:

Nude Creme – this shade is a nude pink color, but not a baby pink, a more brown based pink. This is one nude color that I can wear without looking washed out. It is a cream finish, and a good every day color.

Fruit Punch – I really like this shade! It is a warm, creamy pink that has some brightness to it, but not too much to where it isn’t wearable. It is also a cream finish with no shimmer.

Flamingo Pose – this color just screams summer! It is a bright coral-pink shade. I don’t have any color like this in my collection, and I really love to wear it! It is a cream finish with no shimmer, and the color is very bright.

You can find these lipsticks at select drugstores, I have seen them at Wal-Mart and CVS. They retail for about $5, and they have a great color selection!

Have y’all tried these lipsticks out? What is your favorite shade?

Hope you guys liked this post, thanks for reading!
