20130817-091646.jpg

Hi Guys! Today’s mani is a pretty red/pink color with some golden shimmer. This is a very unusual color, because it has some hints of orange to it. This color is called Kimber from Zoya.

Zoya nail polishes are Vegan and Cruelty-free. They are a natural nail polish, and free from harmful chemicals.

These nail polishes have a great formula, and they don’t streak or chip, and this color looks great on fingers and toes!

I found this color on clearance at Ulta for $4.99, and they normally retail for $8.

Hope y’all liked this mani, have a great day! 🙂

No Heat Hairstyle : Headband Curls

Hello! Today I have another no heat hairstyle for you! I love curling my hair, but it is very time consuming, especially if you have long hair! This hairstyle only takes about 5 minutes to do, and gives you great curls overnight! Let’s get started!

What you will need:

-soft headband
-hairspray

20130815-200053.jpg

Start off with hair that is about 90% dry. You want to make sure that your hair is not so damp that it won’t dry by the morning. I just wet my hands a little and ran them through my hair.

The next thing you are going to do is put the headband around your head, on top of your hair. Make sure that the headband is above your ears and pull it down almost to your neck.
Then, divide your hair into 2 sections. Take the first piece and just start wrapping around the headband.

Combine the section that you just wrapped with more hair, and keep wrapping.

Keep wrapping the hair until you get the the back, and the start with the front of the other section.

Keep wrapping the sections of hair until all of the pieces are wrapped around the band. Then spray it with hairspray, and go to bed!

About 10 hrs later…

WHOA!

I ran some of this Super Skinny Serum through and it helped with the frizz.

So, as you can see, this hairstyle gives you really tight curls. You can take bigger sections of hair and wrap them for looser curls. These curls did not fall at all. I love this style, and it was so much easier than using a curling iron!

Hope you guys liked this no-heat hair! Let me know if you try it!

Friday Favorite – Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Hi Guys! Today’s Friday Favorite is a makeup brush that I like to use when I apply liquid foundation. This brush is The Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Expert Face Brush. This brush retails for $8.99 at Ulta.

Real Techniques brushes are very affordable, and they were created by Samantha Chapman, who has her own website and makes online beauty tutorials.

The Expert Face Brush is great for applying liquid or cream foundation, and is a firm yet soft bristle brush that makes you look “pixel perfect even in harsh light”, and “gives high definition results”. I definitely agree with these claims. This brush makes your foundation glide on very smoothly, and gives a really even finish.

The bristles are very soft, and the “dome” shape of the brush makes it really easy to buff the foundation into the skin.

If you are looking for a brush to apply foundation with, I would recommend this one. I own many of her brushes, and I am very happy with the quality of them!

MAC Sweetie Lipstick Dupe

20130810-135922.jpg
Hi Everyone! Today I have another MAC lipstick dupe for you! This lipstick is called Sweetie, and it is a pretty, medium pink-berry shade with a slight shimmer. This color is similar to MAC’s Plumful lipstick, but a tad lighter and more frosty. This lipstick is a lustre finish, which is my favorite finish for MAC lipsticks. I like lustres because they go on sheer, but you can build them up for more color. They are also very shiny.

So the dupe that I have found for this gorgeous lipstick is Revlon’s Colorburst Lip Butter in the shade Berry Smoothie.

Here is a swatch on my hand. On the bottom is Sweetie, and on the top is Berry Smoothie.

The only different between the two is that Berry Smoothie is glossier than the Sweetie lipstick. These Revlon Lip Butters are the shiniest lipsticks ever! You can add some clear gloss to Sweetie and get the same effect.

Here they are on my lips, Sweetie is on bottom, and Berry Smoothie is on top.

They look identical to me! MAC Sweetie retails for $15, and the Revlon Lip Butters are around $6, depending what drugstore you go to.

All About Eyebrows

Hi Guys! Today’s post is all about how I do my eyebrows. I am not telling anyone that this is the way to do eyebrows, or that you should do them this way…I am just telling you how I do them! Doing my eyebrows is important to me because I feel like it helps frame my face, and I think it gives a more polished look. I prefer very natural looking eyebrows, so I don’t use a lot of products, and I don’t like them to look drawn on. I also prefer a thicker eyebrow; I do not think thin brows suit me. Here are the products that I use:

20130803-181015.jpg
Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in the shade Brunette/Dark Brown, Anastasia Clear Brow Gel, Real Techniques Eyebrow Brush

The first thing that I do is apply my brow powder. This is basically just like eyeshadow. In fact, you can use pretty much any matte eyeshadow color for your brows. I know MAC’s Omega is a good color for lighter hair, and Espresso is a good color for darker hair. I am sure there are a lot of other drugstore colors too. Just make sure that the colors don’t have any shimmer (lol) or red undertones.

I like this brow powder because it has 2 different shades, one lighter, and one darker. This powder is VERY pigmented, and you have to make sure to not get a lot on your brush. Use a very light hand while applying. I take my eyebrow brush and dip it very lightly, and I usually just mix the two colors together. You want to make sure to focus most of the color on the outer half of your brows, and use whatever is left over on the brush for the inner half. Use short strokes to get a natural look.

I have had this brow powder for over a year, and I have used it pretty much every single day, and it barely even looks used! This retails for $20 at Sephora.

20130803-181747.jpg

The last thing I do is apply the clear brow gel. This helps to set the powder, and it helps to keep your hairs in place all day. Honestly, you don’t have to buy this kind, Maybelline makes a clear mascara that does the same thing. I got this as a 100-point-perk at Sephora, and that is why I am currently using it.

Here are before and after pictures:

20130803-182144.jpg After

You can definitely tell a difference in person when my brows are done. It makes the whole makeup look just come together.

Hope you guys liked this post! What are your favorite products to use on your brows?

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
