Favorite Lip Combo + GIVEAWAY!

Hi Guys! Happy Friday! Today’s post is all about my favorite lip combo that I have been wearing lately. These lip colors look very pretty together, and are perfect for upcoming fall!

I have been lining and filling in my lips with the Jordana Easy Liner in Tawny. This lipliner works with most all pink or nude shades. It is retractable, so you don’t have to sharpen it, and it is very creamy and feels soft on the lips. It is showing up a little bit brown, but is more pink in person.

Lately I have been using Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sassy Mauve as my go-to lip color. It is a pretty berry shade that is moisturizing and lasts well on the lips. It is a Creme formula, so there is no shimmer in it.

To top it off, I am using my favorite lipgloss, NYX Megashine in the color Tea Rose. This lipgloss is not sticky at all and it smells like cherries. It is very pigmented, so a little bit goes a long way.

Here are all of them swatched together.

Hit or Miss? Maybelline Great Lash Colored Mascara

Hey Guys! I saw these in an ad in a magazine, and I was so excited to try them! Remember when Maybelline made the Royal Blue Great Lash Mascara? I remember wearing it all the time when I was in high school. I’m not going to say how long ago that was! haha.

I just had to give these a try, so I picked up the purple one, Vision In Violet.I have heard that purple eyeshadow is a really good color to use on brown eyes, so I figured purple mascara would be pretty. I got it for $3.97 at Walmart.

Maybelline released six limited edition colors. From left to right: Wink Of Pink, So Very Berry, Vision In Violet, Green With Envy, I See Blue, and Teal Appeal.

At first, I was not sure how to wear this, I didn’t know whether to wear it on it’s own, or layered on top of my other mascara. Maybelline Great Lash has a very small brush, and is very natural looking when applied. I don’t like natural looking lashes. I go for big, volumized, fake looking lashes, so Maybelline Great Lash isn’t my favorite.

So, first I tried to apply it over my regular mascara. FAIL. Clump central! The color did not even show up. So then, I took my mascara off and applied it by itself.

20130905-134004.jpgDoes that look purple to you?

This mascara does nothing for my lashes. No volume, no length, and the brush is so small that it takes me so long to coat all my lashes. Oh, and it doesn’t look colored! I guess I will use this on my bottom lashes, just because it’s easy to coat those with the brush.

This mascara was a miss for me.

Have you guys tried this? Let me know your thoughts!

Have a great day and thanks for reading!
