The Ideal Palette TAG

20131117-201651.jpg
Hey everyone! I have seen this TAG going around the beauty blogger community, and I thought I would go ahead and do it too! The rules are to pick different eyeshadows out of your collection to create your perfect, ideal eyeshadow palette. You are supposed to pick 2 highlight colors, 2 lid colors, 2 crease colors, 2 outer corner colors, and 2 bonus colors. So, here is what I came up with for my ideal palette!

20131117-202738.jpg
From left to right:
Highlight Colors:
Vanilla – MAC
Kitten – Stila
Lid Colors:
Retrospeck – MAC
Half Baked – Urban Decay Naked 2
Crease Colors:
Tease – Urban Decay Naked 2
Cafe – Lorac Pro to Go
Outer Corner Colors:
Mocha – Smashbox Iconic Eyes
Dark Gray – NYX
Bonus Colors:
Shale – MAC
Amber Rush – Loreal Infallible

So those are the shadows I would pick for my ideal palette! As you can see, I love both shimmery and matte shadows.
If you have not done this TAG, then I tag you to do it!

Thanks for reading, have a great day! 🙂

Lorac PRO to Go Palette Review + Swatches

20131116-164611.jpg
Hello everyone! Today I have a review for you on the Lorac PRO to Go Eye and Cheek Palette. I have wanting to get my hands on this little baby for a couple of months now, and finally purchased it when Sephora had their VIB Sale a couple of weeks ago. This palette is exclusive to Sephora, and contains 6 eye colors and 3 cheek colors. This palette is absolutely perfect and great for travel!

20131116-164659.jpg
This palette has a flip open lid on the top and the bottom both with magnetic closures. The top has the eyeshadows and a mirror, and the bottom has the cheek colors. You can open up the palette completely to lay flat on your vanity.

There are two mini brushes included with the palette, a flat shader brush for blending in your eyeshadow, and an angled liner brush.

THE EYES:

20131116-165552.jpgFrom left to right: Pearl, Chai, and Mink

20131116-165700.jpgFrom left to right: Shell, Cafe, and Black
Pearl– champagne shimmer
Shell– cream shimmer
Chai– bronze shimmer
Cafe– matte warm brown with a little bit of shimmer
Mink– dark gray taupe shimmer
Black – matte black
All six shadows have great pigmentation and are buttery soft. Pearl is a great inner corner highlight color, while Shell is a great color for a browbone highlight. Chai is a very metallic bronze, perfect for all over the lid, and Cafe is a great crease color. Mink is my favorite color in the palette, it is a dark smokey taupe color with a tiny hint of dark purple. Black is always a good color to have in a palette, you can use it as liner or as an “outer v” color to deepen up your eyes.
THE CHEEKS:

20131116-171039.jpgFrom left to right: Coral, Pink, and Bronze
Coral– peachy pink color with gold shimmer
Pink– matte cool toned pink
Bronze– matte medium bronze
Coral is a beautiful, peachy pink shimmer color that instantly brightens up the cheeks. I believe this color would be suitable for all skintones. Pink is a matte, bright pink color that gives a baby doll flush to the cheeks. Bronze is a medium, warm toned bronzer that does not come off orange at all. This also makes a great matte contour color.

This palette is so versatile, and you could create daytime as well as nighttime looks with it.
If you are looking for a great palette with everything you need to create all types of pretty makeup looks, I would give this a shot! It retails for $38 at Sephora.

Thanks for reading my blog, and have a great day!

Mani Monday – Teal Nails!

Hi guys!!! Today I have beautiful teal colored nails that are perfect for fall! This color is Butter London’s Slapper.

20131116-142714.jpg
I received this color in my Butter London Glam Rock set, and I decided it would be the first one to try out! I didn’t have any color like this in my collection…which is rare because I have a huge collection of nail polish! This blue is creamy and thick, and goes on very opaque. I probably only needed one coat, but I did two anyway.

Now, you might not believe me…but I have had this color on my nails for NINE days, and I feel like I could go another nine days because there isn’t so much as a chip. That’s why this nail polish is so expensive! Lol. I will probably change my polish tonight just because I like to switch up my colors every couple of days, but I really love this color.
Have you tried Butter London polish?
Have a great week guys, and thanks so much for reading my blog!

Ipsy Glambag November 2013

20131116-150524.jpg
Hey guys! Today I am going to share with you what I got in my November Ipsy Glambag. For those of you who don’t know, Ipsy is a beauty sample subscription box where you pay $10 a month (you can cancel anytime) and they send you a grab bag full of goodies based on your profile every month. Most of the time they send full size products! The value of what is in the box is always over $10, and it’s a great way to try out new products!

20131116-150612.jpg
This month’s theme is “Glam It Up” and came with SIX products instead of the usual 5. They came in this cute gold bag with hot pink fabric on the inside, and this bag can also double as a wristlet.

20131116-145550.jpg
em Michelle Phan lipstick in Cabana Beige– FULL SIZE! Value $16.50
Be A Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damn – FULL SIZE! Value $14
I was so excited to see both of these products in my bag! The lip crayon is so pretty, it is a pinky-red color, but goes on very sheer. The em lipstick is a nude color, and I love the packaging and smell of it.

20131116-145847.jpg
Pixi Bronzer in Subtly Suntouched – 3.2 grams Value $5
BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow in Eclipse – Value $2
I really like Pixi products, and was glad to see a cheek color in the bag. Personally, I would not use this as a bronzer because it is very light and very shimmery. It will make a nice highlight to use on the tops of my cheekbones, though. I just prefer more matte bronzers, and think they look more natural. They eyeshadow is a really metallic silver-y gray color. It will look really nice on the lid for a holiday look!

20131116-150046.jpg
Starlooks Gem Pencil in Mirage – FULL SIZE! Value $14
Nailtini Nail Polish in Caviar Cocktail – FULL SIZE! Value $13
This eye pencil looks pretty, it would probably look best smudged under the lower lash line, so I’m excited to try that. The nail polish is also a metallic silver gray color and looks pretty too.

So, overall, I am VERY impressed with this bag. I think this is the best one I’ve gotten yet. I was thrilled to see 4 full size products! I paid $10 for this bag, but I received about $65 worth of products! Wow! Way to go Ipsy!

What did you get in your Glambag?

Thanks for reading, have a good weekend! 🙂
