Hi everyone! Hope y’all are having a great week. Today is my fourth post for my Best Products of 2013, and we are going to talk about my favorite face makeup items!
BEST FACE PRIMER:
Benefit The Porefessional ($30, Sephora)
This is my favorite primer because it camouflages pores while helping your makeup last all day. It is very silky and glides on the skin smoothly. I only use this when I wear foundation, and I take a tiny dab and apply it just to my t-zone before I apply the foundation.
BEST FOUNDATION:
Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation ($8, drugstores)
This category was hard to choose! This foundation comes in a million shades, it has a pump, and it matches my skin tone perfectly. It is the perfect consistency, not too runny, not too thick, and you can build it up for full coverage. It also has SPF 20. I wear shade 810.
BEST CONCEALER:
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer (19, MAC)
This concealer is amazing and soo multi-purpose. It comes in a little glass bottle with a little pump. You can use this to mix with moisturizer for a tinted moisturizer with a flawless finish, you can use it under your eyes, and you can also use it for blemishes. It is creamy, it doesn’t crease, and it never looks cakey. I wear shade NW15.
BEST POWDER:
MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation ($27, MAC)
I have been using this powder for years. Technically, it is a powder foundation, so it gives more coverage than the average setting powder. I used this when I wear tinted moisturizer (which is almost every day!) and it just gives me a little more coverage without looking cakey. I wear shade NW20.
BEST BRONZER/CONTOUR
Benefit Hoola ($28, Sephora)
This is a matte bronzer that is perfect for fairer skin tones like myself. This is lighter than Nars Laguna bronzer, which I used for years. I like this bronzer because it is a cool toned brown, so it works good with my skin tone. I can also use this to contour with because there is no shimmer in it.
BEST BLUSH:
Tarte Amazonian Clay 24 Hr Blush in Empowered ($26, Sephora)
This was also a tough one to choose! These Tarte blushes are awesome. They last all day, and they come in really pretty colors. This particular color is a shimmery peachy pink, perfect for all skintones.
BEST HIGHLIGHTER:
The Balm Mary Loumanizer ($24, Nordstrom)
This is my favorite highlighting powder to use. It is a light golden highlight that gives you the prettiest glow when applied to the tops of your cheekbones. You get a lot of product, so this will last you forever, and a little bit goes a long way.
That’s all for best FACE products of 2013! Next up will be eye products, so stay tuned!
