NEW Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo Review

Hey everyone! Today I am going to be reviewing the Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo. I saw this on a display at Target, and I’m pretty sure it is a relatively new product…so I wanted to try it out.

What drew me to the display was the Herbal Essences name. Their hair products are known for the amazing smells, so I thought this would smell really good, which it does. It smells fresh and clean and says it has mint in it for a refreshing feel.

I tried this out on my hair one morning when I woke up, and just like I always do, I held it about 6 inches from my head and sprayed it on my roots. I am used to dry shampoos spraying out a very fine powdery mist, but this one sprays out very liquid-y and feels wet after you spray it…which I didn’t like.

I noticed that after it dried, it became very sticky where I applied it, and I couldn’t even run my fingers through it. I did notice however, that it gave my hair a TON of volume and it looked as though I spent all morning teasing it, which is awesome!!

A few hours went by, and I looked in the mirror to fix my hair and I noticed that the places that I had sprayed it were white and flaky! This stuff left little white flecks in my hair. No ma’am.

Needless to say, this stuff is in the trash. If you are looking for a new dry shampoo, I would say to skip this one! Try out the Garnier Fructis or the Batiste dry shampoos.

Have you tried this? Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks for reading, have a great day!

  1. I was so looking forward to trying this, but I’m so glad I read your review before wasting my money. Did you get the shampoo and conditioner from this line too?
    Thanks!

    1. I was too! I would definitely skip this one though. No, I haven’t tried the shampoo or conditioner, but those would probably be good! I usually like their shampoos and conditioners, and they always smell so good!
