Mani Monday – Black Sparkle

Hi everyone! Hope y’all had a great weekend! Well, it’s Monday, so it’s time for a fresh mani to start off the week.

Today’s color is by Loreal, and the color is called Rough Around the Edges. This color is part of the new Gold Dust Collection, and is called a “textured nail color”. What that means is that even if you put a top coat over it, it feels like sandpaper because of all of the glitter pieces. I thought I wouldn’t like the texture, but I actually do! It’s really different and it looks cool.

Now ordinarily, I do not wear black nail polish because I feel like it’s too dark against my skin tone. BUT, I really like this color because it doesn’t look as harsh to me as plain black because of the glitter.

The photos do not do this color justice. It is so gorgeous and sparkly in person, and I LOVE it.

I used only two coats, and I did put a topcoat, but you really don’t need one.
