Sephora Collection Rouge Infusion Lip Ink Review + Swatches

Hi guys! I want to tell you about a lip product that I have been loving lately! These are the Sephora Collection Rouge Infusion Lip Inks. My friend Caty and I both picked up one of these about a month ago, and we were so surprised that they lasted so long! We both couldn’t get the swatches off of our hands, even with makeup remover. I loved them so much that I went back for another one on our next trip to Sephora!

The two colors I have are Fuchsia Concentrate and Coral Extract.

These are lip stains, and they last about 4 hours on the lips. They go on smooth and non-sticky, and I don’t find them to be drying on the lips at all.

They smell very fruity, and I have been wearing Coral Extract every day. Sometimes I have to touch up after eating or drinking, but they wear really nice and don’t flake off or anything.

Sadly, both of these colors are currently sold out online, but you can still find them in stores if you want to try them out! They have 11 different shades and are $14.

Have you tried these? What’s your favorite lip stain?

Thanks for reading, have a great day!

Mani Monday – Revlon Parfumerie

20140324-180539.jpg

Hey everyone! Spring is here, and coral is one of my favorite colors to wear on my nails in the spring and summer time. I recently picked up this nail polish from a fairly new nail polish line from Revlon. This nail polish is their from their Parfumerie line, which is scented! This color is Ginger Melon, which is a true, bright coral, and I love it!

I bought this because of the packaging, I think it is adorable and looks like a mini perfume bottle. It does have a scent, which is kind of like watermelon, and you can smell it even after you put a top coat over it. I used two coats of this and I am very pleased with the formula.

Have you checked out this new line?

Thanks for reading, have a great day!

How To Keep A Toddler Entertained On A Plane

Hi everyone! This post is a little bit different from my normal beauty-type posts, but I want to try and incorporate more lifestyle posts like this into my blog.

20140321-092508.jpg
We took our 2 1/2 year old on her first airplane ride recently, and I thought it would be fun to show you all what I packed for her to keep her entertained on the plane. I know that this post will appeal to my many mommy readers out there, but even if you aren’t a mom, maybe you can share these ideas with moms that you know!

20140321-092545.jpg

Backpack – A backpack is good to have for trips because they are able to just carry it on their back so their hands are free. This one is from Gymboree and has a cute smiling flower on the front.
iPad and Headphones – I have a bunch of educational games on the iPad that Allie loves to play. I also got her these headphones that are little and comfortable for her head. You can also download music or movies that they can watch on the plane.
Notebook, Crayons, Stickers – This is Allie’s little notebook that she likes to color and put stickers in. This can keep her entertained for hours. She loves Dora and Disney Princess, so I brought those stickers along.
Baby Wipes and Tissues – Any mom knows that you ALWAYS need these. Tissues for blowing little noses and baby wipes for cleaning up little faces and sticky hands!
Snacks – I brought along some little snacks for her in case she got hungry on the plane. I made sure to include these little suckers to help her ears to pop, and I brought some fruit snacks, raisins, a squeezie, and some graham cookies.

I was so proud of how well she did on the plane. We got lots of compliments about what a well-behaved child we had! That’s a great feeling.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions for what to pack for an airplane ride!

I hope you guys liked this post; thanks for reading!

Ipsy Glambag March 2014

Hey there! Hope everyone had a great week. Today I am going to share with you what I got in my March Ipsy Glambag. For those of you who don’t know, Ipsy is a beauty sample subscription box where you pay $10 a month (you can cancel anytime) and they send you a grab bag full of goodies based on your profile every month. Most of the time they send full size products! The value of what is in the box is always over $10, and it’s a great way to try out new products!

This month’s theme is Destination Beauty, and it came with 4 products in this printed multicolor bag.

20140311-215416.jpg
Nicole By OPI Roughles Textured Nail Polish in On What Grounds – FULL SIZE Value $8
Pacifica Body Butter in Indian Coconut Nectar FULL SIZE Value $7

This nail polish looks really pretty in the bottle, it is a textured nail polish with red and blue speckles in it, and it is supposed to dry to a matte finish. I’m excited to try this because I don’t own too many matte nail colors. The Pacifica body butter is a nice surprise! First of all, it’s huge, and not a sample size. It smells like yummy coconut and feels very moisturizing.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready – Value $7.70
Be A Bombshell Eyeshadow Quad in Bora Bora – FULL SIZE Value $16

I have been wanting to try these Bare Minerals lipsticks for awhile now. This mini lipstick is so cute, and it’s a pretty, rosy, berry color. My daughter always loves to help me open up my bag, and she went straight for this lipstick! This eyeshadow quad is really awesome. I probably won’t get much use of the bright blue, but I’ll definitely try it out and see how it looks maybe smudged underneath the lashline. The other colors are so shimmery and look like they have great pigmentation.

So, I am once again very pleased with my bag! I paid $10, and I received $38.70 worth of goodies!

Let me know if you would like a demo/review on anything shown!

What did you get in your Ipsy bag?

thanks for reading my blog!

Travel Makeup Essentials!

20140311-205749.jpg
Hi guys! Packing for a trip is so hard; especially packing makeup! I never know what to bring and what to leave, so I just try to bring as little as possible. Today I am going to show you what makeup I am packing for my trip tomorrow. We are only going to be gone for one night, so this shouldn’t be THAT difficult.

Face Products:

20140311-205829.jpg

Benefit POREfessional Primer – this is my favorite face primer, it fills in lines and pores and helps your makeup last all day. I am bringing this teeny travel-size tube.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in 10 Beige – this is a light to medium coverage foundation that gives a very natural and light finish. I also like how it’s in a plastic bottle, so I won’t have to worry about it breaking on the plane.

Make Up For Ever HD Powder – I’m bringing this tiny mini-size translucent powder to set my face and under eye concealer. This is a really great powder and doesn’t add any additional coverage to your face.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair– I am bringing this concealer because it is a good multi-purpose one. I can use it on any spots/discoloration on my face, and also on dark circles.

NYX Blush in Peach– this blush is my favorite at the moment. It is the perfect combo of peach and pink, and goes with any makeup look.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer – this is my go-to matte bronzer, and it’s good for contouring also. I can’t leave home without it!

Eye Products:

20140311-210738.jpg

Naked Basics Palette – this is the perfect travel palette! It is really small, and it’s got a matte highlight color, medium brown transition colors, and a black.

Nars Eyeshadow Duo in Cordura – I’m bringing this in addition to Naked Basics because I am not really a fan of totally matte eyes. This duo is amazing and I don’t have any colors like this in any of my other palettes. I will mix these colors with my matte ones in the Naked Basics palette.

Urban Decay Double Ended Eyeliner in Corrupt and Zero – this is a double ended eyeliner with a black and a shimmery dark brown. Some days I feel like black, and some days I feel like wearing brown, so this will be a good one to take.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara – I’m bringing this mascara because it’s a sample size, and it’s basically the high-end version of my beloved Maybelline Rocket mascara. It keeps a curl all day, and adds volume and length to the lashes.

Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Brunette – this is my go-to brow product, I mix the two colors together to give me natural looking eyebrows.

Lip Products:

20140311-211428.jpg

Maybelline Color Whisper in Made It Mauve – this is a perfect neutral balm-y lipstick that is really hydrating and gives a sheer wash of color.

NYX Megashine Lipgloss in Dolly Pink – this is a bright pink lipgloss that is not sticky and perfect to wear on it’s own.

Dior Addict Lip Glow in Pink – I love this lip balm. When you first look at it, it’s a very, very, sheer pink that doesn’t look like it would give off very much color. It is basically like a mood-lipstick…(remember those?!) and it reacts with your body chemistry and changes color! It turns a medium pink on me, and it so flattering and hydrating on the lips.

Ok, so that is all I am going to pack for my trip! What are your must-have products for travel?

Let me know if you would like an in-depth review/demo on any products shown!

Thanks for reading! 🙂
