Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush: Review + Swatches

Hey everyone! Today I have a review for you on this gorgeous new blush that I recently picked up. I never felt interested in The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, because I really like my NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Powder in Translucent Crystal, and I felt they did the same thing. HOWEVER, when I saw that Hourglass released these new blushes infused into the Ambient Lighting Powders…well, I just couldn’t say no! After much deliberation, I decided to go with the color Luminous Flush.

This is described as “a champagne rose blush fused with the Luminous Light Ambient powder to evoke a candlelit glimmer”. Although this blush does not contain glitter or shimmer, it gives a beautiful “lit from within” glow to the cheeks and is like a blush and a highlight in one. The packaging of these blushes is so pretty and chic, you can see from the first picture the reflection of my roses in the compact. The packaging is really sturdy, and I like the big mirror in the compact.

This blush is so silky and soft on the skin, and looks so pretty on the cheeks. This blush isn’t a highly pigmented blush, because it is supposed to look like a natural flush to the cheeks. You don’t want to apply too much. When I wear this blush, I find that it lasts all day and still looks great at the end of the day.

Have you tried any of these blushes? Which one is your favorite?

Thanks for reading!
