EMPTIES (Products I’ve Used Up) 6/14

Hey guys! It’s time for another post about the products that I have used up in the past couple of months. I have really been trying to use up things in my collection, rather than going out and buying a bunch of new things! I personally like these types of posts because they are kind of like mini-reviews on products. I hope ya’ll like them too.

HAIR & SKIN

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum – This is a little travel size I recently used up. I have this in the full-size already and I love it. I apply just two pumps of this to freshly washed hair and it smoothes my hair and makes it super shiny after I dry it. It also smells like fruity candy! REPURCHASE: YES

Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray – This is a heat protectant for your hair that also speeds up blow dry time. It smells like coconutty-goodness and it protects your hair from hot tools. It also detangles my hair and makes it shiny. REPURCHASE : YES

Soap and Glory The Righteous Body Butter – Oh, I love Soap and Glory and I LOVE this body butter. It is so thick and creamy, super moisturizing, and it smells soo good. It smells like a mix of floral and fruity, as do all of their products in this pink packaging. You don’t even need perfume when you wear this! REPURCHASE: YES

Bath and Body Works Body Wash in Cucumber Melon – I actually found this body wash in my cabinet unopened, so I decided to use it up. I didn’t find that it was very moisturizing, and the scent reminded me of middle school. I probably won’t repurchase this, I am happy with my drugstore body washes! REPURCHASE: NO

Jergens BB Body Cream for Med-Deep Skin Tones – I think I’m the only person on the planet who doesn’t like this. I guess I don’t really understand the point of it. I love my Jergens Natural Glow lotion that subtly gives you a tan over time, but this one isn’t a self-tanner since the “color” just washes off? I don’t know, I did not really notice any color, or any difference to my skin after using this. REPURCHASE: NO

Clarisonic Refreshing Gel Cleanser – This is my everyday face wash; even if I don’t use my Clarisonic, I still use this daily. It leaves my skin super clean but not dried out, and I like the smell of it. REPURCHASE: YES

Sephora Collection Supreme Cleansing Oil – I love this for removing my makeup, you just put a couple of pumps in your hand, mix it with a little bit of water, and rub it all over your face. It disintegrates all your makeup and doesn’t leave an oily residue. I always wash my face after using this, but since it is a cleansing oil, you don’t have to. REPURCHASE : YES

MAKEUP

Hourglass No 28 Primer Serum – I received this as a sample, and it is a very luxurious product. A little bit goes a long way, but I just don’t like serum-type primer, it made my face feel shiny and slick. I am used to the silicone-based primers, like Benefit’s Porefessional. This stuff is crazy expensive too. REPURCHASE: NO

Maybelline FIT ME Stick Foundation in 110 Porcelain – This foundation is really lightweight and gives a light to medium coverage on the skin. It is really creamy and is really easy to blend, and I like the finish it gives. REPURCHASE : YES

Stila One Step Primecolor in Pop of Pink – This is product that can be used on lips and cheeks, but I mainly used it on my cheeks. It is a pretty pink color that is really creamy and easy to blend out on the cheeks. It has a subtle shimmer to it, and a little bit goes a long way. REPURCHASE : YES

LORAC Special Effects Mascara – This mascara is one of those two-in-one kinds with the white primer on one side, and the mascara on the other. I really didn’t like this, it flaked on me and it was pretty clumpy. I didn’t like the brush either. REPURCHASE : NO

Benefit They’re Real Mascara – I love this mascara, it is probably my favorite high end one. I don’t ever purchase it though; because I like Maybelline The Rocket better. This mascara is like the high-end version of that – lengthens, volumizes, and doesn’t clump. I would repurchase this though, if I ever get tired of The Rocket. REPURCHASE: YES

Jordana Fabuliner in Black and Brown – This is my favorite liquid liner, and is $1.99 at Walgreens. They are super pigmented, and the felt tip is perfect. I use these almost everyday, and I especially like the brown for everyday wear. REPURCHASE : YES

Ardell Demi Lashes 110 – These are my favorite lashes to wear, they are natural looking, but they give that extra glam look to your eyes. REPURCHASE : YES

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey – I really like this lipstick, you can wear it sheer, or you can build up the color. It is a nice, “my lips but better” color, and looks like a light flush of red on my lips. It is shiny and moisturizing too. REPURCHASE : YES

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Coral Reef – These lipglosses and the NYX glosses are my favorite drugstore glosses. These are not sticky at all, they are shiny, and they wear a couple of hours on the lips. This particular color is soo pretty for the summer. REPURCHASE: YES

MAN EMPTY

Bath And Body Works 2 in 1 Hair + Body Wash in Twilight Woods – My husband actually went out of his way to tell me how much he liked this. He doesn’t use it for his hair, but he said he really likes the smell and that it lathers up really good. Next time I go to Bath and Body Works I’m gonna check out more men’s things for him to try. REPURCHASE: YES
