Drugstore Score : Rimmel Exaggerate Full Color Lip Liner in Eastend Snob

I really love to use lip liners not only to line my lips, but also to fill them in! Lip liners always stay on so much longer than lipstick, too.

My favorite liner to do this with is the Rimmel Exaggerate Liner in Eastend Snob. This color is almost the exact same color as my natural lip color, but so much prettier. It’s just a “my lips but better” color. It’s a nude, but a pink-y, perfect nude.

You can get this for around $3 (I get mine from Walmart) and it seriously stays on for hours! I always get compliments on my lip color when I wear this, and it’s just so natural and pretty. Even though it is matte, it is comfortable on the lips and isn’t drying at all. It’s also retractable, so you don’t have to worry about sharpening!

Have you tried any of these liners?

Recent Products I’ve Used Up

IMG_0795.JPG

I thought I would share some of my trash with you all. I like “empties” posts, because they are like mini reviews on products. I’ve used up a lot of skincare things, and also a foundation! It usually takes me forever to use up a foundation, but I went through this one fairly quickly.

Aveeno Postively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 – this is my favorite daily moisturizer – I usually get them in a double pack from Costco. This moisturizer is non-greasy, and makes my skin feel really good. I’ll definitely repurchase this.

Phyto Specific Deep Repairing Cream Bath – this is a conditioning treatment that did NOTHING for my hair except make it dry and straw-like. It also smelled really bad – like bell peppers when you cut them up before cooking them. Yeah, exactly like that. Gross. I won’t purchase this.

MAC Strobe Cream -This is an illuminating primer/moisturizer that you can wear alone or underneath your makeup. It doesn’t contain any shimmer, but just gives a nice glow to the skin. I really like this, I will repurchase.

The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter– I love this. The smell is AMAZING – so beachy and delicious. It is super thick and moisturizing. This scent and the strawberry one are my favorites. I will repurchase.

Fresh Sugar Lip Polish – this is a lip exfoliating treatment that you apply to slough off any dead skin on your lips. I used this before lipstick (especially matte colors) so that the lipstick would go on smoothly. Although I liked this, I think that coconut oil and sugar would do the same thing. It’s pretty spendy. I won’t repurchase this.

Bare Minerals Original Foundation in Fairly Light – this is probably my favorite light coverage foundation of all time. I have been using this on and off for 5 years now, and this is probably the 3rd or 4th container I’ve bought. It is just the perfect light foundation for everyday. The shade matches me perfectly, and it makes my skin look dewy and fresh. It never looks cakey, and doesn’t even look like I have makeup on. I have already repurchased!

drybar Detox Dry Shampoo – this is THE BEST DRY SHAMPOO EVER. I am going to do a full review on this stuff soon. If you can get past the smell, which I have, you will love this. The smell is strong, like vanilla baby powder, and it does take a while to get used to. I don’t even care about the smell anymore, cause this stuff makes me hair feel super clean and gives VOLUME! I will repurchase this.

What products have you used up? Have you tried any of these?

Mommy Monday – Perfect Homemade Play Dough

IMG_0790.JPG

My daughter loves to play with play dough, but I cannot stand that disgusting Play-Doh smell! I recently came across a recipe, tweaked it a little bit to my liking, and out came the perfect play-dough! It is super simple to make – I already had everything I needed in my pantry. The best part is, you can make it whatever color you want (we made pink, of course) and it doesn’t have that horrible smell! Also, I feel like this play dough is softer and easier to work with.

Here is what you will need:

1 cup water
1 cup flour
1/3 cup salt
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Food coloring

Add your food coloring in with your water, and put it in the microwave for about 3 minutes, or until it’s boiling.

While that is boiling, mix together all of the rest of the ingredients in a bowl. After the water is done boiling, add that in and stir it until it forms into play dough!

Let it cool for about 20 minutes before you start playing with it. If it is warm, it will stick to your fingers.

My daughter was SO excited about this and loves it.

I hope your kids like it too!

Sunday Style – Black and White

IMG_0935.JPG

Hey guys! I thought it would be fun to do a little fashion post for you today. I went out to lunch and shopped a little bit, and I wore this comfy (but also cute) outfit.

This cream sweater has the most beautiful sequined detailing and looks very chic, but it is super comfortable. I paired it with some black jeggings and some patent black espadrilles. I don’t feel like it is quite boot weather yet (it’s in the 70’s), and so the closed toed shoes looked great with this.

I kept the jewelry simple with some silver hoops, watch, and dainty pearl ring. My husband gave me this pearl ring after we had been dating for 3 months, and it is so pretty and simple.

I hope you guys had a great day today, and stay tuned for my new posts coming up this week Monday and Thursday!

Outfit Details :

Sequined Cream Sweater – Express
Black Jeggings – American Eagle
Patent Black Espadrilles – Nordstrom
Silver Earrings – Macy’s
Silver Watch – Nordstrom
Diamond and Pearl Ring – Whitehall Jewelers
