My New BFF : Marc Jacobs Lolita Palette

The last thing I need in my life is another eyeshadow palette (well, besides more nail polish).  I got this palette as a stocking stuffer from my husband on Christmas (he knows the way to my heart) and I have been loving using it.  The colors are absolutely perfect, you can really create any type of look you want with this.

The packaging is well, everything.  It comes in a little canvas type pouch with a snap, and it is this sleek, oval shape.  The plastic is sturdy and so very luxe.  It is Marc Jacobs after all!  Inside you get a mirror and 7 shadows.  3 matte shades and 4 shimmery shades.  PERFECT.  There’s a great highlight color that is yellow-toned instead of stark white (thank you), a medium brown color for a transition or crease, and a deep brown for deepening up the look, using as liner, or for me, AN EYEBROW COLOR (if I use a light hand) lol.

Here’s a close up of the first three:

Then you get your 4 shimmers.  The first one is the most glittery.  It is this light gold champagne glitter color that is so pigmented and pretty.  The next one is almost a pink pearl color.  It has this duo-chrome look about it almost like mother of pearl, but more pink.  It’s a great lid color or inner corner highlight.  The next color is a darker gold, and then the next is just a deeper bronze-gold.

Here’s a close up of the last four:

I love how there are more shimmer colors than matte colors.  I always use more shimmer shadows than mattes, so this palette is perfect to me.

The texture of these shadows are like buttah.  They are super pigmented, so a little bit goes a long way, and I haven’t had any issues with creasing or fallout.

I’m pretty sure that Lolita is the best selling color for this palette, so you may have to order it online to find it.  Every time I go to Sephora they are sold out of it.  I absolutely love this palette and I would recommend it to anyone.  I feel like it would work on any skintone because it has a good combination of light and dark colors.

You can pick this up at Sephora for $59.

Have you tried this palette?

Thanks for reading! xx
