Lightweight Foundation for Summer

Even though I do own some full-coverage foundations, I prefer a lighter coverage foundation – especially for daytime.  The last thing I want is heavy foundation slipping and sliding all over my face in 90 degree weather.  If you like a lightweight, “feels like skin” type of foundation, then these are for you!

Powder foundation is great if you like a light coverage.  You can actually build it up and keep adding layers to get a fuller coverage.  I like to just do a light application to even out my skintone.  The one shown here is Bare Minerals Original Foundation.  This is a loose powder that I have been using for about 6 years now.  I’ve probably gone through 10 of these (no joke). They have such a great color selection (20 shades) so you will find one exactly that matches your skin.

If you want to go the BB/CC Cream route, Loreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB and IT Cosmetics CC creams are my two faves.  These apply best with just my fingertips, and give me nice fresh skin without feeling cakey.  Again, you can build up the coverage on both of these.

Now, if you are a liquid foundation type of gal, I recommend a more “runnier” consistency foundation for summer.  Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is water-based and so light on the skin, and blends in so nicely – you will forget you have foundation on.  Also, Loreal True Match Lumi feels lighter than the original True Match, and gives a perfect, glowing finish to the skin.

What is your favorite summer foundation?

    1. It’s a really great product! I wanted it mainly for the SPF 50. It feels really good on. 🙂 thanks for stopping by!
