Pamper Night : Face Masks

Once or twice a week it’s nice to have a pamper-night.  You know, manicure, exfoliate, bubble bath, self tanner, drink wine…whatever!  But, my favorite thing to do is use a face mask.  There are so many different types of masks that give different results.  Here are my top recommendations for face masks for you to try out on your next pamper night!

Thanks to my friend Gillian, I am now hooked on sheet masks (thanks G for opening up a whole new world for me, lol).  Sheet masks are basically paper or cloth with eye and mouth cutouts that are soaked in product.  You place them on your face and let the product sink in (you don’t rinse your face after).  I really like the Sephora ones that just recently came out, they have all different types, from moisturizing and brightening, to anti-blemish and mattifying.  A mask for anyone really, and they come in cute, brightly colored packaging.  I also really like the Karuna masks from Sephora, they are really luxurious and nice.  Masqueology is an amazing brand, their sheet masks are life-changing.  Seriously, my skin is so soft and smooth after using these.  If you’re on a budget, Freeman makes great, affordable sheet masks.  They also have different ones to target your specific need.

Now let’s talk more traditional type masks.  I really loved Glamglow (in the white jar), but I used that up recently and have not repurchased yet.  It is very pricey, but a great mask.  I also like the Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask, which is amazing, super luxurious, and makes your skin look brand new afterward.  A drugstore mask that I love is the Freeman Mint and Lemon Clay Mask. I find that this mask gives me great results by purifying my skin and helping if I have a breakout.

After you rinse off your face mask, it is really important to follow up with a thick night cream to really lock all of the moisture and good ingredients into your skin.  My favorite (favorite) night cream to use is the Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins cream.  This is a very thick cream that really hydrates my skin without feeling sticky or greasy.

Do you like to use face masks?

Thanks for reading! xx
