Today I thought I would talk about my favorite palettes, because who doesn’t love a good palette?! Christmas is coming up, and palettes are a great thing to give as a gift to someone, and they are also great to ask for! Any makeup lover would like to have a neutral palette. Here are some of my favorites.
1. Urban Decay Naked 2
My favorite of the NAKED palettes. I always like to use this palette for nighttime. All of the colors are fairly cool-toned, and that’s why it’s my favorite. Having fair skin, sometimes warmer tones look orange-y on me, so this palette has a perfect range of colors. Tease is the ultimate transition shade, Foxy is the perfect matte highlight, and can we talk about the shimmery silvery goodness that is Verve? Love this palette. It also includes a shimmery highlight and a black, so it’s got everything you need.
Arguably my favorite palette of all time. Look at these huge highlight shades! All of the colors are super blendable and creamy. Also, there are some really unique shades in here, like Candied Violet – a shimmery blue purple, and Gilded Ganache – a sparkly olive green. Did I mention this palette smells like chocolate?! Yes, delicious chocolate candy. Most of these shades are shimmery, but there are a couple mattes. I need Semi Sweet and Chocolate Bon Bons next.
3. LORAC PRO
If you are new to makeup, or you just want one palette in your collection that does it all – get this one. The top row are mattes, and the bottom row are shimmers. You’ve got your light neutrals, and your dark neutrals. The pigmentation of these shadows is amazing – and they are so soft and blendable. Garnet – a shimmery burgundy, and Mauve are my two favorites.
Behold, my MAC neutral palette. I love how you can buy the pans and create your own customizable palette. MAC has pretty much every shadow color you could ever want (143 to be exact), and they are some of the best shadows out there. Nylon (my must have shimmery highlight), Shale (a shimmery purple taupe), and Mulch (a shimmery olive green) are some of my faves.
6. E.L.F. Illuminating Palette
LORAC PRO To Go is an all in one palette with shadows and cheek colors. This is my favorite palette for travel (and for everyday), because it has everything you need! The highlight shadows can also be used for cheek highlights because they are so big, and the top row is shimmers and the bottom row are mattes. It also comes with a bronzer and two blush colors. I feel like all of these colors would work for any skintone! Love this little palette.
Next is this E.L.F. Illuminating Palette. This is SIX DOLLARS, and let me tell you, this quality of these highlight shades are amazing. There are warmer and cooler tones, and all of them look so pretty on the skin.
