Cracker Barrel is known for their amazing pancakes, they are crispy on the outside, and soft and fluffy with a hint of sweetness on the inside. I have re-created this recipe, and these are the pancakes I always make for my family. They love them! I hope you like them too. Let’s get started!
What you need:
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 tsp oil
1. Mix the eggs, buttermilk, sugar, salt, and baking soda together.
2. Use a mesh strainer to sift the 2 cups of flour into the batter.
3. Use a tsp or so of oil and heat up your pan. Pour in the batter. The oil will give the nice crispy edges and help with browning.
4. When you see the bubbles, it’s time to flip!
