The Pantone colors of the year have been selected for 2016, and this year there are two colors! The colors are Rose Quartz (pink) and Serenity (periwinkle blue). These colors are beautiful pastels and will be so pretty on nails for upcoming spring/summer! Here are my picks.
For the color Serenity, I immediately thought of Essie’s Bikini So Teeny, the perfect periwinkle blue color. This color makes your nails pop and is a great summer color! The next color is a little bit darker, but still a periwinkle blue. This color is Skinny Jeans by Loreal. I love this color, and the formula of these Loreal polishes. Both of these colors would be on trend as “Serenity”. Both of these leave a cream finish on the nails without shimmer.
Now, for Rose Quartz. Zoya Dot is a light creamy pastel pink that looks good on every skintone. This color pink is a staple for me! Also, I have OPI’s Got A Date To Knight and Butter London’s Fruit Machine as darker options for the color. Fruit Machine has a hint of purple to it, but it is a beautiful color.
Sephora just came out with their lip glosses for these colors and they look amazing! I can’t wait to try them.
