NEW | Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara

Whenever Maybelline releases a new mascara, I just have to try it out!  Maybelline makes all of my favorite drugstore mascaras.
 Here they are in my lash drawer 🙂

When I saw this new Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara, with its pretty pink and red metallic tube, I was compelled to buy it 🙂

  
   
 
I picked it up in the regular (non-waterproof) formula at my local grocery store for around $8.

The wand is really long, longer than any other mascara that I’ve tried, and the brush is skinny with teeny little rubber bristles.

I curled my lashes and started to apply this, and immediately thought that the formula was really “wet”, which is unusual for Maybelline.  I gave it one coat and it looked ok, but as I started to add more, the more it clumped.  I had read reviews on this mascara and everyone said it was clumpy, but I usually don’t have any issues with clumping, so I thought it would work.

In the end, I found that it really weighed down my lashes.  I had to take a comb and separate them, but still ended up with a lot of clumps.  I also found that the mascara took a long time to dry, which is kind of weird!

It’s a really wet, clumpy formula, and it didn’t hold much of a curl at all.  I’ve been using it for a couple of days, and I’m ready to toss it.  I tried to make it work, but this one is a fail for me.

I would definitely skip out on this one and try one of Maybelline’s other mascaras!
