Today I’ve got three easy and healthy snacks that you can make for your kids, and if you don’t have kids, you can definitely try these out for yourself! I’ve got Banana Swirl, which is just blended up bananas for a cold creamy treat, Granola Bars for a chewy and sweet snack, and some Baked Mozzarella Sticks that are crunchy and delicious! Let’s get started!
BANANA SWIRL
Did you know that the consistency of a blended up frozen banana is the same as soft serve ice cream? This is a delicious and healthy creamy treat, and you can add anything you want to this (sprinkles, berries, chocolate syrup), and it’s still healthier than regular ice cream!
What you need:
- 2 cups frozen bananas
- A splash of milk
Blend up bananas in a blender, add milk if needed.
My girls like to add sprinkles.

Granola Bars (Gluten Free)
These chewy bars are packed with protein and are a great snack to eat any time of day! These also make a great breakfast on-the-go!
What you need:
- 1 c pitted dates
- 1/4 c honey
- 1/4 c creamy peanut butter
- 3/4 c chopped almonds
- 1 1/2 c rolled oats
- 1/2 c mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 c dried cherries
Put dates in a food processor and combine until it makes a ball of dough-like consistency.
In a saucepan, heat peanut butter and honey on low heat and bring to a boil.
Place oats, almonds, cherries, and chocolate chips in a bowl.
Add in your dates and peanut butter.
Combine everything together, and spread into an 8×8 baking dish lined with plastic wrap.
Place in refrigerator for 2-3 hours, and then cut into bars. These are so delicious! This makes about 15 bars.
BAKED MOZZARELLA STICKS
Mozzarella sticks are so good, but the fried kind isn’t exactly good for you, so I bake my own! These give that same great crunch that the fried ones do. I even like to make a marinara dipping sauce for them.
What you need:
- 1 pkg egg roll wrappers (you can find these in the refrigerated produce department of the grocery store)
- 1 pkg low fat mozzarella sticks (string cheese) unwrapped and frozen until hard
- Olive oil
- Salt
DIPPING SAUCE
- 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 2 tsp Italian spices (basil, oregano)
- Salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut egg roll wrapper in half and roll frozen mozzarella stick onto wrapper folding in the edges (use water to help with sticking).
Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 min.
For sauce:
Heat olive oil in pan and sauté till fragrant. Add tomatoes and stir.
Add spices and salt and pepper until desired taste and heat for 10-15 min.
Hope you guys like these snacks!
