More Empties | Products I’ve Used Up

 I have been on a mission to use up the half empty products in my cabinets before buying more, especially when it comes to haircare and skincare products!  My family and I are building a house and are going to be moving in soon, so I need to get some of this junk outta here! 

 I try to use up makeup, but it’s just so hard to stick to one thing before moving onto another product!  BUT, I did use up TWO foundations…and for that, I am proud 🙂

HAIRCARE 

 

Living Proof Primer Style Extender Spray – I got this little sample and I used it up, but I much prefer the cream version of this product.  This is a hair primer that you use before styling, and it helps your style to last longer.  This spray version doesn’t make my hair soft like the cream version.  I wouldn’t purchase this.

Paul Mitchell Straight Works – this is a gel you apply before styling that is supposed to smooth out hair and prevent frizz.  I didn’t like this as much as the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum, which has a lighter consistency, and smells better.  I wouldn’t repurchase this.

Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque – finally I have used up this huge tub!  This is a hair masque that I really liked.  It really made my hair soft and it smelled good.  I would repurchase this!

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Daily Deep Conditioner – I love the fruity scent of this conditioner and I switched off between using this and the Macadamia Masque.  I have used this product for years and I always go back to it when I’m looking for  good deep conditioner.  It makes my hair soft and detangled.  I would repurchase this.

Macadamia Control Hairspray – this was recently in my Products I Regret Buying post, and I used this up, but I’m glad it’s gone.  It just didn’t do much to hold my curls, and I didn’t like the smell.  I won’t repurchase this.

SKINCARE
  

Sephora Collection Instant Nail Polish Remover for Glitter – I love this, and will not attempt to remove glitter polish without it!  We all know what a pain it is to take off a sparkly mani, and this makes it a piece of cake!  You dip your finger into the jar and you can scrape your nail against the sides to rub the polish off.  I will repurchase!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Fresh and Foamy Body Wash – I love this body wash!  It smells like a sweet lime margarita, it foams up good, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry.  Oh, and it has a pump!  I will repurchase.

LUSH Rockstar and Godmother Soap Stack – this is a bar soap duo, Rockstar is pink and bubblegum scented, and Godmother is  purple soap that smells like candy.  I like Godmother best, but both are good!  They lather up good and oh, they smell so good.  They both left my skin soft and clean!  I would repurchase.

Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment – this is a thick, citrus scented eye cream that I used at night.  It did a great job at hydrating, and I liked the scent.  I wouldn’t use this during the day because it is thick.  I would repurchase it for nighttime.

Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum – I really like this!  I used it at nighttime and I love the consistency, it’s kind of like a gel, and I thought it really hydrated my skin.  It didn’t make it feel greasy and I felt like it kind of helped to even out my skintone!  I would repurchase.

Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Nourishing Moisturizer – this is a lightweight daytime moisturizer with SPF 30. It has a really nice fresh scent (better than the Positively Radiant scent) and doesn’t feel greasy on the skin. I like the pump on this, and it was easy to get every last bit of product out.  This moisturizer didn’t clog my pores or make me break out either.  I love Aveeeno products, and I’ll definitely be repurchasing this! 

St. Ives Even and Bright Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange Scrub – I love anything that smells like grapefruit and this smells just like grapefruit to me.  This is a gentler scrub with small beads to help exfoliate.  My skin feels so clean and bright after I use this!  I will definitely repurchase this.

Makeup
  

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair – this is a nice concealer for spot treating, but I find that it is just too sheer for underneath my eyes.  It has a light consistency and doesn’t cake up.  I will repurchase.

MAC Lipglass in Pink Lemonade – I have had this forever and finally used it up.  It is a really pretty shimmery, pinky coral color.  MAC lipglosses are a bit sticky, but I think that makes them last longer.  I probably won’t repurchase this since they are pricey and I like other glosses (ahem, NYX) better.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water – I am obsessed with this stuff and I use it everyday.  I apply my moisturizer, and then spray this all over my face.  While my face is still damp, I apply my foundation.  I think it really hydrates my skin and preps it for makeup.  I will repurchase!

itCosmetics CC Cream – I love this foundation.  It has really good coverage, it feels light on the skin, it has SPF 50, and I love the menthol-y scent of it.  I also really love the packaging, because it is easy to get every last drop!  I have already repurchased 🙂

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in B10 – I have already repurchased this one too.  This is probably my all time favorite foundation.  It is super watery, so I apply it with my fingers, and it just looks like skin. I love the perfume-y scent, and the color matches me perfect.  Love this!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – I talk about this magic sponge all the time, and I really feel like I like it more than the Beauty Blender because it has a flat side.  I don’t even use brushes anymore, only this sponge!  It just makes my foundation look SO MUCH BETTER!

Loreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer – I really liked this concealer for spot correcting on my face.  It’s a drier formula, so I wouldn’t try this underneath the eyes.  It blends out fast and is perfect to keep in my purse for touch-ups.  I would repurchase.

Maybelline Volum Express The Rocket Mascara – this is my favorite drugstore mascara.  It lengthens, volumizes, it’s very black, and it keeps the curl.  I’ll definitely repurchase.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready – I got this mini lipstick in an IPSY bag I think, and I really liked it!  It was a nice rosy pink, really creamy, and it lasted!  I would purchase this.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NW15 – this is a full coverage concealer that is really nice.  It comes with a little pump to dispense, and I really like using this either underneath my eyes, or mixed in with my face lotion to make a tinted moisturizer.  I will repurchase.
