Eyeshadow
Eyeshadow palettes are pretty spendy, so if you’ve had your eye on one, now’s the time to grab it! The Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette is so nice, so pretty, and has a ton of neutrals to choose from. I’ve got a full review for it here.
Also, the Marc Jacobs Style Eye Con Palette in Lolita is just the perfect go-to palette for everyday. It has a nice mix of matte and shimmer shades. Review here.
If you already have a ton of palettes (guilty) and just want a new sparkly shade or two, check these out!
Burberry Nude 002 – a beautiful, soft, pigmented, metallic taupe color that is pretty worn wet or dry. Splurge worthy.
Urban Decay Lounge – This color is so unique and so pretty. It’s kind of a deep red color with a green shift. It sounds weird but is so pretty and metallic (and surprisingly neutral) on the lids with some deep brown in the crease. All of the Urban Decay shadows (especially the Moondust ones) are amazing!
NARS Kalahari Duo – THE perfect duo for everyday. One side is a bronze metallic color, the other is a rich milk chocolate brown. NARS shadows are some of the best, and all of their duos are good.
Facial Spray
I LOVE to use this Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water before I apply my makeup. It preps the skin and adds some much needed moisture to my face. I find that my makeup blends out so smoothly when I use this. Every now and then, I really need my makeup to last all day long, so I always go for this Urban Decay Chill Makeup Setting Spray. I like this one because it feels really cold and hydrating when I spray it on. It keeps my makeup in place all day.
Foundation/Concealer/Powder
If you are not on the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder bandwagon, go ahead and jump on! This is pretty much THE ONLY under eye setting powder that I will use. It helps concealer to not crease, it doesn’t look cakey, and it lasts all day. It’s a splurge, but it’s worth it.
This Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation is so so so good, and I really think it could work on any skin type. It works really good for me and my dry skin, it gives such a nice satin finish, and it stays. Not to mention, it comes in a ton of shades, which makes it so easy to find the right match. You can use a light hand for a sheer coverage, but it is definitely buildable.
NARS Creamy Concealer is another really good product. It is full coverage, works great for dark circles and spot concealing, and stays put all day. It also doesn’t crease under the eyes at all, which is hard to find.
Face powders can get so expensive, but they are well worth the money if you find one you really love.
Clinique Cheek Pop in Rosy Pop – these blushes are so underrated, but so good! They’re so pigmented and they last all day. The colors (and packaging) are all so pretty. This color here is a dusty rose and is perfect for everyday.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer – this bronzer is totally matte, and is a great shade for not only bronzing up the face, but also contouring. It doesn’t show up orange at all on me, and it gives such a natural contoured look. Love this.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal – repeat after me, BECCA IS THE QUEEN OF HIGHLIGHT. Yes. These highlighters (especially Opal and Pearl) are amazing. Sooo shimmery just like liquid metal, and give that glowy highlighted goodness I’m always up for.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light – I love this finishing powder! It blurs the look of pores and gives a soft focus look to my face- pretty much like an Instagram filter in real life.
Dior Lip Glow – this is a tinted lip balm type product that goes on clear and then changes to a perfect shade of pink. It is so hydrating and it smells so good. I LOVE this. Definitely a splurge.
NARS Dolce Vita – this is the ultimate MLBB lipstick. It is a dusty mauve cream and it gives a healthy hydrated look. Always in my bag.
Kat Von D Liquid Lip in Lovesick – Kat Von D makes really good liquid lipsticks. They stay on forever, and I don’t find them to be drying at all. They are easy to apply and I love the matte look they give. This pinky-purple color is my favorite.
Dior Lip Maximizer – best. gloss. ever. Seriously. This gloss plumps the lips, isn’t sticky, and actually lasts a while on the lips. I love the smell, and also the brush tip applicator. Dior can do a lip product, lemme tell ya.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip in 14C -anything from the Aqua line from MUFE is bound to be awesome. These lipliners are totally waterproof, and last all day. This color is pretty much an exact match to the color of my lips (but betta) and I can layer it underneath anything. It helps lipsticks and even liquid lipsticks last longer.
I needed one more product to complete the list, and it’s the Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil Liners. Pictured here is Perversion, a matte black, but really, all of the colors are splurge-worthy. They last (even on the waterline), they don’t smudge, and this color here is so dark and smoldering. Love it. Other favorites are Bourbon and Rockstar.
That’s all 20! Definitely items to splurge on if you want to treat yourself!
