My family LOVES pasta, and just like Pasta Pomodoro, this dish is one of their favorites! Pasta, red sauce, and cheese…what’s not to love?!
What you need:
- 8 oz cavatappi pasta
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 3/4 cup white wine
- 2 cans crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup Romano cheese
- Pancetta (optional)
Cook pasta, drain and set aside.
Sauté onions, garlic, and pepper in olive oil until onions are soft.
Add white wine and bring to a boil.
Stir in tomatoes and cook until thickened.
Mix into pasta and add cheese and chopped pancetta if desired.
