DIY Slime

Today we have a fun craft for you that kids (or adults) of any age will love to make and play with.  This is our DIY Slime!  It only uses 3-4 ingredients, is non-toxic, and safe for kids to play with.  This is guaranteed to keep your kids entertained. 🙂

 Let’s get started!

What you’ll need:

  • 4 oz Elmer’s school glue
  • 1/2 tbsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp contact solution
  • 2 drops food coloring (optional)

Empty your 4 oz of glue into a bowl.

Add your 1/2 tbsp baking soda and mix.

Add two drops of any color food coloring. We made blue.

Add your 1 tbsp of contact solution.

As soon as you add this, start mixing, because it immediately starts to solidify.  Stir until most of it is combined, and then knead with your hands.

Continue kneading until it no longer sticks to your hands.

The perfect slime!

You can also use glitter glue, but make sure you only use 4 oz – these came in 6 oz bottles.

Of course, my girls wanted pink and purple.

They like to hide little objects in the slime and have me open it like a present.

It also works with play doh molds and cookie cutters.

Store in a plastic baggie to keep it from drying up.

Hope you guys liked this DIY and will try it!

Thanks for reading! xx
