Quarterly Empties | Products I’ve Used Up

Its the end of September, which means it’s time for another quarterly empties!  Only one more post of empties and then it’s a new year!  Let’s get into it.

Let’s start off with the makeup.

I FINALLY finished this Urban Decay Chill a Makeup Setting Spray.  I have had this a LONG time (they have changed the packaging) and I would definitely buy this again.  I don’t usually have a problem with my makeup lasting, so I really only used this on special occasions.  I like to use it before makeup and after and it really keeps your makeup looking fresh ALL DAY.  

Another face product that I love is this L’Oréal Magic Lumi Primer.  This is a pearly white primer that feels nice and moisturizing, and adds some glow to the skin before makeup.  I would repurchase this.

I also used up a Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer in Meringue.  This concealer is really nice at covering my dark circles, and I don’t find that it creases throughout the day.  I have repurchased this.  

The last product for face is the Real Techniques Miracle Blending Sponge.  I try to toss these every three months, and I love them!  I think they are just as good as the Beauty Blender for much cheaper.  I always use mine damp to apply my foundation.  Always a repurchase!

I used up two different mascaras.  First, the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, which I really do love, but I have found a drugstore dupe for it that I like even better!  It separates and adds mega volume.  I wouldn’t repurchase though, because of the price.  The next one is the Diorshow Mascara.  This mascara just takes too long.  I have to apply 3-4 coats just to get it to look like anything.  It’s a very thin, natural formula, and I just didn’t like it very much.  For the price, there are much better mascaras out there.  I won’t purchase this one.

The Marc Jacobs Magic Marc-er Precision Pen Liner is a really nice, really black liquid liner.  It goes on smoothly, and stays put.  I would definitely purchase this in the future.

I used up two lip products that I kept in my purse, first, the Dior Lip Glow in Pink.  This is a hydrating balm that adjusts to your lips and gives you a perfect shade of pink.  I really liked this at first, but it kind of stopped working after awhile and just looked clear on my lips.  For the price, there are better tinted balms out there-I probably won’t repurchase.  Next is my favorite lipstick- Essence Lipstick in Natural Beauty. I love this my-lips-but-better pink color, and it’s nice and hydrating and adds some shine.  LOVE THIS.  Already repurchased.

Ok, time for skin and nails.

I LOVE the Essie Gel Couture line.  I did a whole review on it here.  This is the topcoat that I used up.  It goes on nice and thick, hardens as it dries, and gives a beautiful shine to the nails.  It also doesn’t chip.  I already have a backup.

Next is my every day moisturizer.  This is the Clinique Dramatically Gel Moisturizer.  This is my go-to because it is lightweight, and very hydrating.  It doesn’t clog my pores or give me bumps.  It also helps my makeup to go on super smoothly.  Already repurchased.

For nail polish remover, I love this Sephora Collection Instant Remover.  You just dip your fingers in, and it removes all the polish!  It’s easy and quick.  Already repurchased.

Lastly, the Loccitane Hand Cream.  This is really good hand cream.  It is so moisturizing and doesn’t feel greasy.  I kept this in my car and it lasted a long time.  I would repurchase this one.

On to the haircare.

I always get samples of the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo and Conditioner from Sephora.  These are good, but I just wouldn’t purchase them.  They’re expensive, and they aren’t that great!  I have drugstore items I love more.

The Lush BIG Shampoo is one of my all time faves.  It really clarifies and clears any buildup from the hair, and adds volume.  It also smells AMAZING.  I will definitely repurchase.

The next thing is in every empties I ever do.  The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioner.  I use this every time I wash my hair, and also on my girls’ hair.  It’s cheap and works so good.  It leaves our hair nice and smooth and soft.  I will always repurchase.

The last thing is the Organix Eucalyptus and Mint Shampoo.  I originally bought this for my husband, but I ended up using it too and we both love it.  It is really tingly and really cleans the hair.  It smells minty and so invigorating!  I love this and have already repurchased.
