Out of all the things I love to bake, COOKIES are at the top. I have so many tried and true cookie recipes, and I love to perfect the ingredients to make them just right. Today I am sharing my perfect peanut butter cookie recipe. These cookies are soft and delicious (it’s the brown sugar), chock full of peanut butter, and rolled in sugar for that classic, peanut butter cookie flavor.
Here’s how to make them!
What you need:
- 1/2 cup softened butter (I use unsalted)
- 1 cup peanut butter (crunchy or creamy)
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp milk
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix together your butter, peanut butter, and sugars.
Add your egg, milk, and vanilla, and combine.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
Slowly add this mixture to the wet ingredients while mixing.
Form dough into about 1 1/2 inch balls and coat with sugar.
Smash down the cookies gently with a fork vertically and horizontally. Make a hashtag.
Bake for 11-12 minutes. Let sit on the baking sheet for 5 minutes until you move them over to a cooling rack.
