November Beauty Faves

It’s the end of November, and I have some new beauty faves to share with you all! I haven’t been wearing a full face of makeup everyday, but I do like to use a couple of things so I can look put together.

Here they are!

For nails, I’ve been using Essie Sheer Fantasy on repeat! I did a whole post on this a few weeks ago, and I love that it is so natural but chic looking! It is the perfect sheer neutral!

Next up is the NARS Kalahari Eyeshadow Duo. This comes with two colors, a pewter gold shimmer, and then a sort of chocolate brown color with a hint of sheen.

This is the perfect natural, every day duo. These colors are gorgeous and pigmented, and apply so smoothly. Here’s a swatch:

For lips, I’ve been doing a sort of tinted lip balm. This one by Clinique in Whole Lotta Honey is the best my-lips-but-better rosy brown color! It is shiny and moisturizing and just feels so good. Love the twist up crayon shape, too. Here’s a swatch:

This Clean & Clear Exfoliating Scrub is really nice. It is a gel that has little beads and scrubbers that aren’t too harsh. It leaves a cooling tingle on my skin and makes my face feel really clean. I like to use this in the shower, and you only need a teeny bit.

Lastly for hair, is this Verb Ghost Hair Oil. Hair oils are a must for me and my dry ends. This oil really nourishes my hair and makes it feel so soft. I apply two pumps to it from my ears down and comb it through. It really smooths and adds shine. It also has a really light scent and doesn’t weigh down my hair. Love it!

That’s it for the faves!

Best Amazon Products For KIDS

What did we do before AMAZON? I don’t even remember of a time without it! It makes finding random things so much easier than searching around in a store.

I have a few Amazon posts if you want to check them out!

Amazon Accessories

Amazon Kitchen Products

Amazon Home Products

I use Amazon a lot for things for my girls, so I thought I would share these great finds with you all.

Here are the best ones.

First up, a couple of things for shower time!

My girls are 9 and 6, so they are shower-takers now! My littlest cannot reach the built in wall nooks that hold the shampoo/conditioner/soap, so I picked up this little caddy! This goes over the tub and is fully adjustable! It is super easy to assemble and holds all of the products in it so that she can reach them. It would also be so good for bath toys!

Next is this extra long non-slip bath mat. It is fun and pink, and it covers every inch of the bathtub so they don’t slip while showering. It is also very easy to clean.

Both of my girls have long hair, so I swear by the It’s a Ten Miracle Leave in Product. This detangles, protects from heat, and does 10 things for your hair. The main reason why we use this is for detangling. To go with it, the Wet Brush. We have 9 of these in our house (I just counted) and they work so much better than a comb! They don’t pull the hair and are the best for combing wet hair.

Next are these little sound machines. I have one in each of the girls’ room. There are 6 different sounds, and an adjustable volume. It also has a timer, but we leave them on all night. It is very very quiet where we live, and you can hear every little sound, so they have had these in their rooms since they were babies! You can either plug them in or put batteries. Highly recommend!

This arts and crafts caddy is such a space saver! We have every marker, map pencil, and crayon out there, so we needed a way to organize. This thing is HUGE, and holds everything we need. I also LOVE how you can remove each section depending on what you are using. Here is ours on our craft table in the playroom! It is chock full.

Next, a couple of things for lunchtime!

I have talked about these lunch containers a lot; I have some back to school lunch ideas on my blog if you want to check those out! These containers are awesome, they are dishwasher safe, and fit perfectly in a lunchbox. I love how we don’t have to buy plastic baggies- there is no waste with these. They always stay closed and the girls love them.

Also, these Thermos cups. We have 8 of these and the girls drink out of them daily. They keep their drinks cold and I like how they open and close with the push of a button. They come in a ton of different colors and patterns! They are durable and easy to clean!

That’s it for the Amazon Kids Products!

Reading Wrap Up | November

It’s been awhile since I did some book reviews, so I thought I would share some today! I know I have some books on my Christmas wishlist (coming soon!) so maybe if these sound good to you, you can add them to yours!

The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand

This book is the first I have read from this author; I know she has a lot of others! This is a light “beach” type family drama read. It’s not my usual thriller, but it was entertaining.

This story is about two twin sisters who have not spoken or seen each other in years. They come together because of a family emergency and realize that their sibling rivalry is not worth it. Lots of secrets, gossip, and drama in this one!

Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris

I have read all of the B.A. Paris books, and they are all very good. They are all thriller mysteries with twists! This one is about Grace and Jack, who get married and Jack changes immediately upon leaving for their honeymoon. This book is troubling at times, but doesn’t get too graphic. It is very chilling and I could not put it down!

The Whisper Man by Alex North

This is the first book I have read from this author, and I really liked it. It is about a father and young son who move into a new house and the son starts hearing voices and seeing things. They soon find out about a murder that has taken place at the house they are in. The man that was caught was nicknamed “The Whisper Man” because he would whisper to his victims and lure them out of their houses!” I wouldn’t read this one at night if you’re a chicken like I am, but it is a good story!

That’s all for my November book recs! What have you been reading?

EAT | Chicken Tortilla Soup

There is nothing more comforting than a warm bowl of soup on a cold day. I have shared my favorite Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe, but today I am sharing my favorite Chicken Tortilla Soup! This soup is so good and has that delicious chicken taco flavor. The best part are the toppings you can add to it! Here’s how to make it.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 cans of chicken or veggie broth
  • 1 can rotel
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • Garnishes of your choice

First off, combine the liquids together. Broth, rotel, and lime juice.

Add the seasonings and bring up to a boil.

Add in the corn and cilantro.

Add your cooked and shredded chicken.

Let it simmer for about an hour.

Now it’s time to serve and garnish. There are so many things you could top this with. Tortilla strips, cheese, sour cream, avocado…

It is so good. Especially the next day for leftovers!

Enjoy!

Pretty Holiday Nails

It is officially the holiday season, and I am all about the holiday sparkly nails. I have picked out a silver, gold, red, and of course, a winter white!

Here they are!

Look at this sparkly red! This is new from Essie Winter 2020. The color is In A Gingersnap, and it is the most metallic cherry red with gold pearl . It is stunning!

I LOVE silver nails, and this color is the sparkliest silver I own. The color is Julep Missy and I have purchased this so many times! So pretty for the holidays.

If we have silver we have to have a gold! This is is a metallic gold, Essie’s Daring Damsel. This is such a pretty color while still being pretty neutral. It will go with anything!

Lastly, a white, but not any white! This color is Essie Sweet Soufflé, a creamy white with a gold-orange shift. This color is so fun snd so pretty and chic for the holidays!

I hope you liked my holiday nail picks! What colors do you like to wear on your nails for the holidays?

Let’s be friends on Instagram!
