EAT | TikTok Snickers CAKE

I’m back today with another healthy recipe! Haha. I saw this recipe on TikTok and I HAD to try it out. Snickers has been my favorite candy bar since I was a child…I mean, chocolate, caramel, and peanuts? How could you not love it?! This is a cake version that seemed so simple to make!

Here’s how I made it:

What you need:

  • A box of chocolate cake mix
  • A jar of caramel
  • Semi sweet chocolate chips
  • Peanuts

Make your cake according to the directions on the package.

Pour half of the cake batter into a greased 9×13 pan.

Bake this at 350 degrees for 10 minutes and remove from oven.

Add your chocolate chips and peanuts on top of the cake and spread around evenly. I only used half of this container of peanuts, because in the video she used a smaller container.

Add your caramel sauce on top. HOW GOOD DOES THIS LOOK?!

Next, add the remaining cake batter on top and spread evenly. Make sure to cover up all of the peanuts and caramel.

Bake it at 250 degrees for 20 minutes, and then at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Here is the finished cake! You should smell my kitchen. It smells exactly like Snickers!

This cake was one of the best desserts I’ve ever made, and I can’t get over how simple and easy it was to make!!! The cake is super moist and chocolatey, and the peanuts give it a nice crunch.

If you love Snickers, you will love this cake!

April Beauty FAVES

It is the end of April, which means spring is here! I have a whole bunch of beauty products to chat about! Here’s what I’ve been using nonstop this month.

First up, a sunscreen/moisturizer that I use every day before I apply makeup. This is Paula’s Choice Super Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30. This is a super sheer tinted moisturizer that dries down matte and is perfect under makeup. It provides a tiny bit of coverage and is a nice smooth base for foundation.

Next, the Makeup Eraser has been an old favorite, but I recently purchased some new ones. This was part of the Let’s Get Physical Set. I like these because they are smaller than the original makeup erasers. These take off all of my makeup and are reusable! I put them in a laundry bag and wash them in the washer. They’re also really pretty, too! This set is sold out, but they have tons of cute colors and prints available.

I have been using Revitalash consistently for about 6 months now and all I have to say is, WOW. This stuff really does work. My eyelashes are extremely long. Almost too long. I apply the serum every night to my upper lash line, it is super easy with the brush tip, and it works so so well. It is pricey, but worth it.

I saw this Retinol Stick in this pink packaging and I was so intrigued that I had to try. I apply this straight to my under eye and side eye areas every night and I have noticed a slight difference in the tiny crows feet and I swear it is lightening my dark circles. I love how it’s a stick form too.

I saved the best for last! This little Make Up For Ever Cheek Duo is SO GOOD. It comes with a rosy pink matte blush and a golden shimmery highlight powder. These colors are gorgeous and perfect for spring. Here are the swatches.

Lastly, and probably my most favorite product of the month, the NARS Afterglow Lip Balm in Orgasm. I LOVE a tinted balm; it’s my favorite type of lip product to wear. This lip balm is amazing even down to the rose gold packaging. It is a sheer pink color with the golden shimmer just like the blush. It is so pretty.

That’s all for my faves!

What have you been loving this month?

Essie Talk to the Sand | Mani Monday

Hello! I have a new nail color that I have been sporting lately – it is a gorgeous peachy-nude color called Talk to the Sand by Essie.

This color came out last spring as part of their Sunny Business Collection. The colors that come out in the spring collections are always my favorite because they’re always pastel and light colors, and that’s typically what I like to wear.

This color is a little bit different from the colors I have already because it’s a bit peachier than I normally go for. I put it next to one of my all time favorite colors, Matter of Fiction. These two looked extremely similar to in the bottle, but as you can see here once it’s on the nails, it is quite a bit different.

I used three coats of this polish, and it is fully opaque and creamy. The color is sort of a beige, but still nude, and looks really chic on the nails. I think it would look really good on the toes too. it’s a really great alternative to your basic white.

Overall, I love this polish and I am happy to have it as part of my collection! It is the kind of color that goes with everything and always looks good!

What nail colors have you been loving lately?

New Hobby | Hand Lettering

I have started a new hobby that I am so excited about! I have always loved writing and being creative, so I thought I would try out hand lettering. Hand lettering is basically just modern calligraphy. I love this style of writing and always wanted to learn how to do it.

I purchased some things from Amazon. Two tablets and a package of pens. After doing some research, I realized that you have to have the right pens to do this type of writing.

These pens come in a two-pack. They have bigger packs, but I figured two would be good enough to get started. These pens are bendy at the tip so you can push harder on your paper to make a thicker line, and less pressure for a thin line. Really cool!

I also wanted to purchase kind of like an adult handwriting tablet, you know like the kinds kids use when they’re learning their letters? Well, they had it! This one was the prettiest.

It takes a while to get used to putting pressure on the pen and then letting the pressure off, but I think I’m starting to get the hang of it! I can’t wait until I get good at it and create some projects!

I also purchased this book, Hand Lettering 101. It tells you everything you need to know, tips on how to hold your pen, and some special projects you can try. It also has spaces to practice your letters.

I find hand lettering to be calm and relaxing, kind of like adult doodling. It’s something that I can teach my girls, and gives us a new thing to do together.

It’s never too late to learn a new skill or hobby! I’ll take a good hobby over Netflix any day.

Have you tried out hand lettering?

Top 5 | Springy Blushes

Hello my peeps! Today we are talking blush- pink blush, peach blush, shimmery blush, matte blush, cream blush, liquid blush…all the blush! How many times can I say blush?

Here are my top 5 picks for spring time!

We all know the first one, NARS Orgasm. The perfect, peachy pink color with golden shimmer. A universal blush for every skintone. I raved about it here. Still my fave!

Next up, another big time fave. Bare Minerals Blush in Call My Blush. This is a rosy matte pink color that is so pretty and natural. It is the perfect shade for every day.

Lastly, a blush that I have purchased at least three times, Tarte Dollface. This is also a matte formula, and is kind of a hot pink (but still light?). This color just WORKS and is buildable. It doesn’t look so hot pink on the cheeks but gives such a pretty and youthful look.

Here are the swatches. No filter on these.

I also have one cream blush and one liquid blush to share.

The first one is the ELF Multi-stick in Glistening Peach. I talked about it in my recent drugstore gems post, but wow is it beautiful. It is a peachy color with golden shimmer, and the consistency is so creamy and blends perfectly. It looks so fresh and glowy on the skin.

We have another NARS blush, but this time it is their liquid formula in the color Torrid. Don’t be afraid of it’s pigmented and dark appearance, if it works for my fair skin, it will probably work for you! It is a peachy orange color (hear me out) with a golden shimmer. Used LIGHTLY, it is GORGEOUS. I apply the slightest pump to my hand, dip my brush in and swirl it around to get some of the product off, and then apply to my cheeks. It is so pretty, and you will never run out!

Here are the swatches!

Have you tried any of these? What is your favorite spring time blush?
