Reading Wrap Up | September

I may not be blogging as much lately, but I am reading! I have to wait in not one, but two parent pick up lines now, so you know I have time to read! I LOVE to read on my kindle. I finished my three books this month, and they are all thrillers (of course), so here are my reviews!

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

This book was on my list for awhile, and I finally got the chance to read it. It did not disappoint! It is about a girl named Alicia who is married and murders her husband one night when he returns home from work. She is then sent to a mental hospital where she will not speak to anyone. Her therapist who finally gets her to speak uncovers her motive.

This book is really good, it had some surprise twists and was a really chilling domestic thriller.

The Mother In Law by Sally Hepworth

This book was about a woman named Lucy and her very powerful socialite mother in law, Diana. They don’t get along (of course) and Diana doesn’t trust Lucy. One day Diana is found dead, along with a suicide note, but the cause of death was suffocation.

This book was pretty slow, and not very exciting at all. I guessed who the suspect was and it was no surprise. I’d skip this one.

The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell

This book is about a mother named Kim whose daughter Tallulah goes missing. Tallulah has a baby and Kim knows that her daughter would never leave her baby behind. The story flip flops between the present of Kim trying to find her daughter, and Tallulah, leading up to the night she disappeared.

I have read almost all of Lisa Jewell’s books, and this is one of my faves. It really kept me on the edge of my seat and had some twists to it. It was a good one.

That’s it for my September reads! What have you been reading?

xx
