MAC See Sheer Lipstick Dupe

MAC’s See Sheer is my all time favorite lipstick. It is the perfect coral-red color, and I wear it almost every day.

I was walking through Target the other day when I saw some makeup on clearance. (You know you love those little orange clearance stickers!). I was going through the lipsticks when I saw it! An exact dupe for MAC’s See Sheer! It was Maybelline’s lipstick in Park Ave Peach! Here they are side by side.

And the best part? It was $2.48. Much better than the $15.00 I would have spent at MAC.
See Sheer is a tad bit glossier (it’s a lustre finish) but, I think the Maybelline one lasts longer on the lips.

Here it is on my lips, See Sheer on the top lip, Park Ave Peach on the bottom lip.

DIY Tinted Moisturizer

Since its super hot already here in Texas, I don’t feel like wearing heavy foundation all day. I came up with an idea on how to make my own tinted moisturizer, using my favorite concealer, and my everyday moisturizer. I thought I would share it!

What you will need:
your favorite liquid concealer
daytime moisturizer (night cream would be too heavy for this)
A small empty sample jar or container
Tiny spoon for mixing

Here’s what I used:

MAC Pro Longwear concealer in NW15 ($18, MAC)
Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer ($14, drugstores)
An empty sample jar

Ok, now that you have all of your ingredients, take one pump of concealer, and one pump of moisturizer (equal parts) and mix them together in your sample jar. After you mix it really good, you can use your fingers or whatever you normally apply foundation with. I apply it to my face with a stippling brush.

It’s that simple! This tinted moisturizer will give you medium coverage, and feels so light for the summer. I really recommend this concealer, it is awesome for covering up dark circles under the eyes, and it blends out nicely for this tinted moisturizer. I have tried other concealers and moisturizers, but these are the best products that I have came up with. Hope you try it out!

Happy mixing!

Friday Favorite!

Hello, and welcome to my first blog post! Today is Friday, which means I will post my favorite product of the week!

This Friday’s Favorite is…

The Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in the color Rose’.

This is a tinted lip balm that gives a pretty hint of color to the lips. Here it is on mine:

It has SPF 15, and smells like lemon cake! It is super hydrating on the lips, and this particular color gives a sheer, berry pinkish tint.

It gives a pretty, “my lips but better” kind of look! It is perfect to throw in your bag and touch up on the go. I’ve been loving this for the summer! Hope you guys like it too!

It retails for $22.50 at Sephora.
