Products Tik Tok Made Me Buy

Not only does Tik Tok crack me up on a daily basis, but I have found so many good ideas, recipes and products on Tik Tok! Today I thought I would share some beauty products that Tik Tok talked me into.

OPI Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny

I have a huge nail polish collection, so it’s not surprising that I already owned both of these super popular nail colors. Although I love them both on their own, Tik Tok taught me to MIX them! They are both very sheer colors, and mixing them together is so so pretty. The Tik Tok I watched said to do two coats of Funny Bunny and then one coat of Bubble Bath overtop. The result is the palest pinky white color that is so nude and perfect.

Eucerin Daily Hydration Cream

I saw a Tik Tok saying that this is the best sunscreen cream that you can use all over your body, even your face! It has SPF 30, and it is not greasy at all. I love to apply this all over my neck and chest area, and also my arms. I am outside watching my girls at tennis practices and matches a lot, and this is perfect for protecting my skin. It doesn’t have a smell and doesn’t have that greasy sunscreen feel. I love it! It also comes in a huge tube and a little bit goes a long way.

Ariana Grande Cloud

I am not a huge fragrance person, but girls were raving about this perfume on Tik Tok. This is supposed to be a dupe for the ever-popular Baccarat Rouge Perfume, which is like $500 or something crazy. This perfume smells SO good, and my husband loves it too. It is a very warm vanilla scent with notes of amber and lavender. It is kind of a sweet scent, but still like, grown up? I don’t know, I’m not good at describing scents! I do really like this and will probably grab the full size!

Gua Sha

Ok, the Gua Sha. Have you guys tried these? This is a rose quartz one. You are supposed to massage your face with it and it will lift and tone the skin on your face! I start under my chin and drag it upwards towards my ear. Let me tell you, I haven’t noticed a difference yet but I will continue to use it!

Pat McGrath Blitz Gold and Derol #3 Rose

This Pat McGrath lip gloss looks scary and yellow here, but I saw a girl applying it on Tik Tok and it gave such a pretty look. The color is a sheer gold glitter and looks so good mixed with my natural lip color, and I feel like it would look so good on any lip color. I have been loving glossy lips lately and this one is my current fave!

The other lippie that Tik Tok talked me into is this Kissio Derol Lip Plumper in Rose. If you like lip plumpers that hurt, you will love this! This is like the Too Faced Lip Injection times a million. I will not lie when I say that this BURNS, but boy oh boy, you will have the look of lip injections haha! I really like this.

So, those are the products Tik Tok made me buy! Does Tik Tok influence you too?

Quarterly Empties | Products I’ve Used Up

Hello! It is the end of March, which means my empties box is piling up! It is time for me to share some products that I have used recently, and whether I would repurchase them (or not!).

Here they are!

Let’s start off with haircare.

First off, I have to mention this Eva NYC Mane Magic Spray. This stuff really is magic for your hair. Not gonna lie, the packaging sold me, but the product inside is even better! This is a all-in-one spray that does 10 things to benefit your hair. Detangles, heat protectant, smoothing…etc. The smell is so nice and the sprayer distributes the product perfectly. A must have if you have long hair like me, and my two girls! Definite repurchase!

Uh, the Olaplex. Did I buy the right ones? Pretty sure I didn’t, because my drugstore shampoo and conditioner is better. The shampoo left my hair feeling weighed down and…almost too moisturized? The conditioner was literally the same as like, my Herbal Essences, so…not sure about the hype, but I won’t be repurchasing!

Last for hair is this Amika Flash Instant Shine Mask. This was a free sample, but I have tried this before and I love it. You are supposed to put it through your hair after shampoo/conditioner and leave it for a few minutes and then rinse. It really does make your hair super shiny after you get out of the shower and dry it. I love Amika products! I would purchase this.

Ok, on to some body/face products.

This Nivea lotion is the only body lotion I have used for YEARS. It comes in a big pump bottle, doesn’t really have a scent (which I like) and makes my skin so shiny. It really moisturizes and gives such a nice glow. Love it and already repurchased.

For face, I love this Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. I use this once, maybe twice a week, and it really gets rid of dead skin and leaves my face feeling super soft and smooth. I love the feeling of the tiny scrubbers. Already repurchased.

Paula’s Choice has my heart, especially this 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. This is super popular, but I have been using it for years and it really keeps breakouts away. I use this by just patting it into my skin a few times a week before bed, and when I wake up, my skin is glowy and soft. Already repurchased.

Can you believe I used up two nail polishes?

First off is this OPI Funny Bunny, which quickly became my favorite fingernail polish. It is a soft white, but not a bright white, if that makes sense. It is the only white I like. It is rather sheer, even with three coats, and that is why I like it so much! It looks so fresh and chic. You have to try it if you like white nails! Already repurchased.

Next is Essie Gel Couture in Model Citizen. I LOVE the Essie Gel Couture line, and this color is what I do my toes with. I always use some sort of mid tone pink for my toes; I think that looks best on me with my skintone. This is the perfect pink for that, and it stays on my toes for about two weeks. Already repurchased.

I used up quite a few lash products.

First, my favorite of all time, Loreal Lash Paradise. I’ve gone on and on about how much I love this mascara, it is super black, lengthens, and gives so much volume. Already repurchased.

Benefit Rollerlash used to be my favorite, but I don’t like it anymore- the brush is so tiny and it takes forever to get the look I need. Wouldn’t purchase.

Milk Makeup Kush Mascara – I really liked this, it gave me the same look as with my Loreal, just a slight bit clumpier, but I could make it work! Would purchase.

Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift – I loved this! It gave me the same full lashes that my Loreal does, and no clumping or flaking. Would purchase.

Lastly, my love, my Revitalash. I used this tube for an entire year, and my lashes are insanely long. This is an eyelash serum that you apply at night before bed, and it grows your lashes. It really does work, when you’re using it. You have to be consistent and use it every night. Would repurchase.

Lastly, a few lippies and a primer.

This Huda Beauty lip gloss is so pretty, but I really could not get past the smell. It has almost a rancid cardboard-y smell to it, but was actually a nice gloss. Maybe I got a bad one. Would not repurchase.

This Marc Jacobs one in Sugar High was so so pretty. I was sad when it dried up. I guess I will not be repurchasing, since Marc Beauty has stopped production!

The NYX Pore Filler is ehhh. First off, there was hardly any product in this tube, and it gets all stuck and then shoots out! It actually gives the same effect as my Benefit Porefessional though, which I love. Would not repurchase though because of packaging issue.

Whew! That was a lot of empties.

What have you used up and loved? Let me know below…there’s a Sephora sale coming up!

August Beauty FAVES

It’s the end of August, and I have a bunch of beauty faves to share with you! These are things that I’ve been using pretty much all summer long; everything is super easy and are great for the hot summer months.

Honestly, I’m not really into eyeshadow anymore. I usually just do a one-wash-of-color type of thing pretty much daily. Cream shadows are awesome for the summer, they’re so easy to apply, last all day, and feel nice and cool. These NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils are the OG cream shadow sticks, and for good reason. This color, Iced Mocha, is the perfect shimmer bronze color and looks so pretty on the lids.

My favorite lip gloss formula of all time is the Dior Lip Maximizer, and this color Ultra Pink, is a hot pink with golden shimmer. I’ve been wearing this gloss so much and it is just the best, non-stickiest gloss. It also plumps the lips slightly. Love it!

I’ve talked about these e.l.f. Multi-Sticks before, and I love to use them on my cheeks instead of powder blush. They have a slightest shimmer and give a pretty, dewy look to my cheeks. They last long and are so easy to apply! I have the colors Glistening Peach and Sparkling Rose, and both are gorg!

Is it even summer if you don’t paint your toes hot pink?! I recently picked up this color from LA Girl called Eden, and it is electric pink. It is so so pretty and shiny, and just the epitome of summer for me.

For fragrance, I have been loving the Michael Kors Eau De Parfum. If you love florals, you will love this scent. It has tuberose, peony, and a hint of incense to make it warm and a bit woody. It is my go-to!

Lastly, a texture spray, because I love a textured wave. I hardly ever wear my hair straight because it is so long, so I love to curl my hair, brush it out a bit, and spray this in. It gives a messy, undone type of look, and it does have some hold to it. My hair still looks great the next day when I use this, and it smells really good too.

That’s it for the faves!!! What have you been loving this summer?

Quarterly Empties | Products I’ve Used Up

Hello! I’m doing this empties post a little bit early because, well, the empties are piling up! I didn’t do an empties last quarter, so I have a lot of mini reviews to share with you today!

Told you it was a lot!

First up, some haircare. I love this Clarifying Tea Tree Shampoo by Herbal Essences, it really cleans my hair and smells so good.

This Sephora Hair Primer was just okay for me. It is supposed to be a heat protectant that you use before blowdrying and I just wish it was a little more moisturizing, kind of like a leave in conditioner. It seemed to just dry my hair out, so I probably wouldn’t repurchase.

I used my Sephora points to get this Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo, and I can’t wait to get the full size! The smell of Amika products are so good, and this dry shampoo really makes my hair feel clean.

Of course it wouldn’t be an empties post without some L’Oréal Lash Paradise. This is my favorite mascara, and all I ever wear! It lengthens, holds a curl, is super black, and lasts all day! Love it.

This Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is another longtime fave of mine. It has good coverage but isn’t drying, like most concealers. I would repurchase.

I use Bare Minerals Foundation every day, but this is the pressed version. I have finally decided that even though the pressed version is more easy to use, the loose powder original version is just better. It just provides more coverage and looks less powdery on my skin. I probably wouldn’t repurchase this.

I used up two Burts Bees lip balms, one in original and one coconut pear. I prefer the original because of the minty tingle, but I would repurchase both!

This Arm and Hammer Toothpaste is my secret to white teeth! Even my dentist says how white my teeth are and it’s thanks to this. I love how it’s not overly sweet and minty, but still gives a really clean feeling after you use it.

This Activated Charcoal toothpaste for whitening was just ok, I don’t feel like it really did a lot, and it’s black color makes a big mess every time it’s used. I wouldn’t repurchase.

Loving Tan has become my favorite self tanner. I use this 2 HR Express formula along with a mitt, and it gives the perfect tan! I would repurchase.

This Clinique Moisturizer that I have been using for years just isn’t going to cut it anymore. I have since switched to a moisturizer with SPF and won’t be going back. This is the gel formula and was moisturizing and lightweight, so if you are looking for that, it’s a good one.

This is a little container of the Sol De Janiero Hair Repair Treatment Mask. I LOVED this. It has that same delicious smell as the Bum Bum Cream, and it was really nourishing for my hair. I can’t wait to get the full size!

Now for some random things.

This Banana Boat Sunscreen is all I use on my girls and they have never been sunburned. I use this on their bodies and their faces, and have purchased multiple bottles of this over the years. It’s tear free and feels nice and cool going on. Already repurchased!

This nail polish remover is like none other. As someone who paints their nails weekly, this is the best for removing even glitter nail color! It takes it right off. Already repurchased.

Another thing that is crucial for my manicure routine is one of these buffing blocks. You can get these pretty much anywhere and I always use one to buff my nails before painting so there’s no ridges or anything.

Lastly, Oxyclean Max Force. This is a laundry pre-treater for stains. I have YET to find a stain that this won’t take out. I use this on a daily basis on my girls and husband’s clothes (and mine sometimes!) and it just works. I also like the foam version of this. I spray it on and throw it into the hamper and then let it sit anywhere from a few hours to DAYS, and then throw it in the wash. It has never not worked. They don’t call me the stain master for nothing! Haha

Whew, that’s it for the empties! Have you used any of these products?

Essie Talk to the Sand | Mani Monday

Hello! I have a new nail color that I have been sporting lately – it is a gorgeous peachy-nude color called Talk to the Sand by Essie.

This color came out last spring as part of their Sunny Business Collection. The colors that come out in the spring collections are always my favorite because they’re always pastel and light colors, and that’s typically what I like to wear.

This color is a little bit different from the colors I have already because it’s a bit peachier than I normally go for. I put it next to one of my all time favorite colors, Matter of Fiction. These two looked extremely similar to in the bottle, but as you can see here once it’s on the nails, it is quite a bit different.

I used three coats of this polish, and it is fully opaque and creamy. The color is sort of a beige, but still nude, and looks really chic on the nails. I think it would look really good on the toes too. it’s a really great alternative to your basic white.

Overall, I love this polish and I am happy to have it as part of my collection! It is the kind of color that goes with everything and always looks good!

What nail colors have you been loving lately?
