Quarterly Empties | Products I’ve Used Up

Welp I’m a month late with this empties post, but I still want to share some mini reviews on things I’ve used and loved!

Let’s start with some hair care.

This Dove Dry Shampoo is one of my favorites, it really does help with the oil in my hair and adds some volume. The fragrance is a bit strong, but it dissipates quickly. I would repurchase.

I like to use a texturizing spray in my hair when I curl or wave it. This Kristen Ess one is really nice for that, and adds the perfect amount of texture without making it crunchy or dry. It just gives the curls and waves a less “done” look and makes them look more beachy. I already repurchased!

Another texture spray that I tried was the Living Proof Dry Volume Texture Spray. I also liked this one! It is pricier than the Kristen Ess one, and it did exactly the same thing. I prefer the Kristen Ess one because it is cheaper and I like the smell more. I probably won’t purchase this.

I always use the Garnier Micellar Water to remove makeup; I’m sure it’s been in every empties post I’ve done! I use this on a makeup eraser cloth and it takes all of my makeup off super easy and then I go in with cleanser. Already repurchased!

I just raved about the Tree Hut Shave Oil in my recent favorites post HERE, and I just used up the Coconut Lime scented one. I use one pump on each leg when I shave, and it makes my skin so smooth and soft. I really noticed a difference when I started using it. They have a bunch of scents; I saw a watermelon one yesterday, so I am going to try that one next. Already repurchased!

Do you guys use oil blotting sheets? I use them in the summer when my skin gets a bit oily because I don’t like putting powder on when it’s hot. They absorb all of the oil without taking off my makeup. The Boscia ones are good, but really any brand works! Already repurchased.

If you know my blog, you know I’m a die hard Bare Minerals fan! There is nothing better than their Original Powder Foundation, but geez, why is it so messy?! It gets everywhere. Anyway, I used one up, and I actually bought a MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation compact. I like the finish of the BM more, but the Studio Fix does the job and is way less messy. The BM really does give a skin-like finish and is the light coverage that I love. I would repurchase it, even though it makes a mess on my counter.

Oh, Tarte Shape Tape. I can’t live without you. No concealer I have compares to this one, it has the mega coverage I need for my dark circles, and I just love it. One tube lasts me like a whole year. Already repurchased.

The L’Oréal Lash Paradise is also in every empties post; it is my favorite because it lengthens, volumizes, and holds a curl. I recently tried this Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Mascara, and dude, I love it just as much. I repurchased both.

Lastly, a little baby Lawless Forget the Filler Gloss. I LOVED this gloss! It smelled good and the formula was so smooth and non-sticky. I noticed a slight plumping, but nothing crazy and it isn’t spicy. I would repurchase this.

That’s it for the empties!!!

July Beauty Faves

Hello friends! I’ve got a bunch of summer approved beauty faves to share with you today! I have been loving all of these products and using them nonstop this summer.

I have to talk about this Tree Hut Shave Oil. This is the second bottle of this that I have purchased, and I can’t live without it now! I used to just use body wash to shave my legs, until I discovered this. I use this in the shower, applying one pump to each leg, and my razor just glides. I get such a close and smooth shave. SO SMOOTH. Not to mention, this one in Tahitian Vanilla smells divine, and I would also recommend the Coconut Lime scent. So summery and perfect.

I have tried every self tanner known to man, and these Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops take the cake! I pump some body lotion into my hands, add 6-7 drops of this into the lotion, and rub it into my skin. It is so easy, and leaves such a pretty tan. It doesn’t make me orange, and doesn’t smell THAT strongly of self tanner. I love how easy to use and foolproof this is.

For hair, my girls and I have all been using this RedKen One United Multi Benefit Spray. This is one of those multi use products that you spray in the hair after washing and conditioning, and it had a whole bunch of benefits to your hair. It detangles, protects from heat, adds shine, smooths the hair, etc. It claims to do 25 things! My girls and I really like this one, and it smells good too.

Cream/liquid blush is the move this summer! I have tested out a whole bunch, and I absolutely LOVE this Saie Liquid Blush in Chilly. This comes with a giant doe foot applicator, and I place one dot on each of my cheekbones. I usually just blend it out with my fingers, but it works good just blending with a normal blush brush too. It gives theeee prettiest color and glow (no shimmer) and lasts all day long. This package will last forever too, since you only need a tiny bit.

Here’s a swatch!

Saie Blush in Chilly

Next up is my favorite thing ever, the Dior Lip Oil. This stuff is really hard to find and super popular, and for good reason. The packaging is perfection (duh, Dior) and it glides so smooth on the lips and looks so pretty. It comes in a bunch of shades, but this Cherry shade is my favorite. I also have the pink shade. All of the shades are very sheer, and they feel like a light gloss, not sticky whatsoever. They’re always in my bag!

Lastly for the faves, this NYX HD Concealer. I like minimal makeup for summertime, and this concealer is great for that. I use this under my eyes and around my nose, and it provides really nice, skin-like coverage. It’s the best everyday concealer! I wear the shade Alabaster.

That’s it for my July Faves! What have you been loving this summer?

NEW Makeup and Skincare Haul | Sephora Spring Sale

Sephora recently had their annual spring sale and I picked up a whole bunch of new products and a few old faves, so I thought I would share them! I mostly picked up new skincare, but I did grab a couple of makeup products too.

Let’s start with the makeup. That’s my favorite!

I picked up two Sephora Collection Colorful Eyeshadows in Satin Corset and Soft Suede. These are two shimmery colors that I thought would be really pretty as a one wash of color over the eyes which is what I have been doing with my eyeshadow. One is a champagne gold color and one is a little darker and bronzy. Here are some swatches:

Satin Corset, Soft Suede

Next, the Tower 28 Lipgloss in XOXO. This lipgloss looked so pretty and perfect for summer! It is a sheer hot pink and I love the cute packaging! It had really good reviews. Here’s a swatch:

XOXO

Lastly for makeup, the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter in 1 Fair. I have the small size of 2 fair, and I needed a lighter color, so I was so excited to see this in stock. This is so popular right now and always sold out. I love the look of my skin with this; it gives the prettiest glow and I don’t even bother with foundation when I use this. Here are swatches of shades 1 and 2 so maybe you can see which shade would work for you. They are very peachy toned and also look the same in this swatch, but shade one is a lot lighter in person.

1 fair, 2 fair

Ok, onto skincare!

I love to self tan, and I have been wanting to try these Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops. I picked these up in the shade medium. You are supposed to mix a few drops of this with your body lotion and apply it to your skin, and it gives a gradual tan. I love the idea of mixing it; it sounds easy and quick. Can’t wait to try these!

I also picked up a favorite product of mine, the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. This is a powder that you put into your hand and mix with a little bit of water. It creates a paste, and you use it to exfoliate your face. I love this, it lasts a really long time and it really leaves my skin smooth.

I was looking for a new clay mask; I love them for clearing and tightening my pores and this one had great reviews! This is the Innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask. You get a lot of product for only $15. I am excited to try this!

I love the Biossance Sunscreen and wear it every day, so I was excited to see this Rapid Radiance Set and thought it would be a good way to try out more from the brand. This comes with an eye cream, a resurfacing serum, a repair cream, and a vitamin c serum. All of these products have good reviews, and I’m really into skincare right now.

I have really dry skin, so I wanted to try a hydrating mask to put on my skin at night. I saw this Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate and Glow Dream Mask. First off, love the name! This is supposed to really hydrate and plump the skin. It has vitamin c for brightening the skin, and hyaluronic acid and squalane for hydration.

Last thing is the Hyaluronic Acid Serum from The Inkey List. I have tried a few products from this brand and I love them and how affordable they are. This serum is just really supposed to help with hydration and plumping the skin!

That’s it for the haul! Have you tried any of these products? Did you pick up anything from the sale? Let me know in the comments!

Products Tik Tok Made Me Buy

Not only does Tik Tok crack me up on a daily basis, but I have found so many good ideas, recipes and products on Tik Tok! Today I thought I would share some beauty products that Tik Tok talked me into.

OPI Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny

I have a huge nail polish collection, so it’s not surprising that I already owned both of these super popular nail colors. Although I love them both on their own, Tik Tok taught me to MIX them! They are both very sheer colors, and mixing them together is so so pretty. The Tik Tok I watched said to do two coats of Funny Bunny and then one coat of Bubble Bath overtop. The result is the palest pinky white color that is so nude and perfect.

Eucerin Daily Hydration Cream

I saw a Tik Tok saying that this is the best sunscreen cream that you can use all over your body, even your face! It has SPF 30, and it is not greasy at all. I love to apply this all over my neck and chest area, and also my arms. I am outside watching my girls at tennis practices and matches a lot, and this is perfect for protecting my skin. It doesn’t have a smell and doesn’t have that greasy sunscreen feel. I love it! It also comes in a huge tube and a little bit goes a long way.

Ariana Grande Cloud

I am not a huge fragrance person, but girls were raving about this perfume on Tik Tok. This is supposed to be a dupe for the ever-popular Baccarat Rouge Perfume, which is like $500 or something crazy. This perfume smells SO good, and my husband loves it too. It is a very warm vanilla scent with notes of amber and lavender. It is kind of a sweet scent, but still like, grown up? I don’t know, I’m not good at describing scents! I do really like this and will probably grab the full size!

Gua Sha

Ok, the Gua Sha. Have you guys tried these? This is a rose quartz one. You are supposed to massage your face with it and it will lift and tone the skin on your face! I start under my chin and drag it upwards towards my ear. Let me tell you, I haven’t noticed a difference yet but I will continue to use it!

Pat McGrath Blitz Gold and Derol #3 Rose

This Pat McGrath lip gloss looks scary and yellow here, but I saw a girl applying it on Tik Tok and it gave such a pretty look. The color is a sheer gold glitter and looks so good mixed with my natural lip color, and I feel like it would look so good on any lip color. I have been loving glossy lips lately and this one is my current fave!

The other lippie that Tik Tok talked me into is this Kissio Derol Lip Plumper in Rose. If you like lip plumpers that hurt, you will love this! This is like the Too Faced Lip Injection times a million. I will not lie when I say that this BURNS, but boy oh boy, you will have the look of lip injections haha! I really like this.

So, those are the products Tik Tok made me buy! Does Tik Tok influence you too?

Quarterly Empties | Products I’ve Used Up

Hello! It is the end of March, which means my empties box is piling up! It is time for me to share some products that I have used recently, and whether I would repurchase them (or not!).

Here they are!

Let’s start off with haircare.

First off, I have to mention this Eva NYC Mane Magic Spray. This stuff really is magic for your hair. Not gonna lie, the packaging sold me, but the product inside is even better! This is a all-in-one spray that does 10 things to benefit your hair. Detangles, heat protectant, smoothing…etc. The smell is so nice and the sprayer distributes the product perfectly. A must have if you have long hair like me, and my two girls! Definite repurchase!

Uh, the Olaplex. Did I buy the right ones? Pretty sure I didn’t, because my drugstore shampoo and conditioner is better. The shampoo left my hair feeling weighed down and…almost too moisturized? The conditioner was literally the same as like, my Herbal Essences, so…not sure about the hype, but I won’t be repurchasing!

Last for hair is this Amika Flash Instant Shine Mask. This was a free sample, but I have tried this before and I love it. You are supposed to put it through your hair after shampoo/conditioner and leave it for a few minutes and then rinse. It really does make your hair super shiny after you get out of the shower and dry it. I love Amika products! I would purchase this.

Ok, on to some body/face products.

This Nivea lotion is the only body lotion I have used for YEARS. It comes in a big pump bottle, doesn’t really have a scent (which I like) and makes my skin so shiny. It really moisturizes and gives such a nice glow. Love it and already repurchased.

For face, I love this Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. I use this once, maybe twice a week, and it really gets rid of dead skin and leaves my face feeling super soft and smooth. I love the feeling of the tiny scrubbers. Already repurchased.

Paula’s Choice has my heart, especially this 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. This is super popular, but I have been using it for years and it really keeps breakouts away. I use this by just patting it into my skin a few times a week before bed, and when I wake up, my skin is glowy and soft. Already repurchased.

Can you believe I used up two nail polishes?

First off is this OPI Funny Bunny, which quickly became my favorite fingernail polish. It is a soft white, but not a bright white, if that makes sense. It is the only white I like. It is rather sheer, even with three coats, and that is why I like it so much! It looks so fresh and chic. You have to try it if you like white nails! Already repurchased.

Next is Essie Gel Couture in Model Citizen. I LOVE the Essie Gel Couture line, and this color is what I do my toes with. I always use some sort of mid tone pink for my toes; I think that looks best on me with my skintone. This is the perfect pink for that, and it stays on my toes for about two weeks. Already repurchased.

I used up quite a few lash products.

First, my favorite of all time, Loreal Lash Paradise. I’ve gone on and on about how much I love this mascara, it is super black, lengthens, and gives so much volume. Already repurchased.

Benefit Rollerlash used to be my favorite, but I don’t like it anymore- the brush is so tiny and it takes forever to get the look I need. Wouldn’t purchase.

Milk Makeup Kush Mascara – I really liked this, it gave me the same look as with my Loreal, just a slight bit clumpier, but I could make it work! Would purchase.

Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift – I loved this! It gave me the same full lashes that my Loreal does, and no clumping or flaking. Would purchase.

Lastly, my love, my Revitalash. I used this tube for an entire year, and my lashes are insanely long. This is an eyelash serum that you apply at night before bed, and it grows your lashes. It really does work, when you’re using it. You have to be consistent and use it every night. Would repurchase.

Lastly, a few lippies and a primer.

This Huda Beauty lip gloss is so pretty, but I really could not get past the smell. It has almost a rancid cardboard-y smell to it, but was actually a nice gloss. Maybe I got a bad one. Would not repurchase.

This Marc Jacobs one in Sugar High was so so pretty. I was sad when it dried up. I guess I will not be repurchasing, since Marc Beauty has stopped production!

The NYX Pore Filler is ehhh. First off, there was hardly any product in this tube, and it gets all stuck and then shoots out! It actually gives the same effect as my Benefit Porefessional though, which I love. Would not repurchase though because of packaging issue.

Whew! That was a lot of empties.

What have you used up and loved? Let me know below…there’s a Sephora sale coming up!

Thanks for reading! xx
