Friday Favorite – Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Pop

Hi Guys! Today’s Friday Favorite is Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipgloss in the color Pink Pop.

They have just come out with this new packaging. Here is it side by side with the old square packaging.

As soon as I heard that they repackaged these lipglosses, I went out to Ulta and bought this color because it’s my favorite! I was afraid that they changed the formula, but they haven’t!

These Super Lustrous Lipglosses and the NYX Megashine Lipglosses are the best drugstore lipsticks that you can buy, in my opinion. These lipglosses are not sticky and they aren’t thick and gloopy like some glosses. This color, Pink Pop, is my favorite. It looks really bright in the tube, but once you put it on, it is a pretty, shiny, perfect pink! I think it would look good on all skintones.

These lipglosses are affordable, ($7 at Ulta) and they last for a couple of hours on the lips.

Another reason why I love it so?

Blair Waldorf wore it on the Season 5 Wedding episode of Gossip Girl, when she married Prince Louis!

Everyone assumed that this lipgloss was a Chanel Glossimer, because she is holding a Chanel mirror, but nope, it’s Revlon’s Pink Pop! (In the old packaging). This just makes me love this lipgloss even more!

Style Spotlight: Wedge Sandals

As a Stay-At-Home Mom, those rows and rows of stiletto heels in my closet just aren’t going to cut it for everyday wear! Wedge Sandals are really cute, and are more casual for everyday wear, like going to playdates, shopping, or just running errands.
Wedge Sandals are super versatile, you can wear them with shorts, capris, skinny jeans, dresses, skirts…pretty much anything! My favorite things to wear them with are maxi dresses and shorts. When you pair them with a cute pair of shorts, your legs will look sky high and slimmer. The best part is, they are so comfortable, and you can still look stylish without killing your feet!

Which shoe style are you guys loving for the summer?

Summer Must Haves: Beauty Products

Hi Guys! Today’s post is about my must have products for the summer! If you would like an in depth review on any products shown, leave me a comment down below! Enjoy!

1. Tinted Moisturizer/BB Cream

I really do not like wearing full coverage foundation in the summer, so I like to wear a nice tinted moisturizer or a bb cream! The one in the jar is my homemade tinted moisturizer, (see post below) and then the other is Revlon’s BB Cream in light. Both feel very light on the skin, contain SPF, and you can build them up to medium coverage!

2. Bronzer

I like to use bronzer in the summer for contouring, and also all over my face to give a nice glow. The bronzer shown here is Tarte’s Park Avenue Princess Mineral Bronzer. This Bronzer gives a nice glow to the skin without any glitter or shimmer.

3. Lipstain/Lipbalm

I love these Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. The color shown here is “Lovesick” and is a true hot pink color, which is really on trend for the summer. These Balm stains give a sheer wash of color, with the staying power of a stain. The other product shown here is the Burt’s Bees Refreshing Lip Balm with Pink Grapefruit. It contains SPF and will help those dry, chapped lips.

4. Makeup Setting Spray

Makeup setting sprays are a must have to ensure that your makeup stays looking fresh all day. The one that I use is MAC’s Fix Plus. This is a multi-use spray that is made with rose water and glycerin, and it can be used after your makeup to set it, and take away the powdery look, and also be used as a refresher spray. Sometimes i keep it in the fridge and spritz a little on my face after I come in from outside.

5. Fun Summer Nail Polish

You gotta have a fun summer nail polish! The color shown here is Essie’s Bikini So Teeny. This color was part of the Summer 2012 collection, but you can still find it online. I searched everywhere for this color last summer. It is a pretty, periwinkle colored polish with a subtle shimmer. It looks really pretty on the fingernails or toenails! And how cute is the name?! 🙂

6. Gradual Self Tanner

This is the Jergens Natural Glow Gradual Self Tanner in Medium to Tan. Obviously, I am not Medium to Tan, but when buying self tanner, something in my head always tells me, “Yeah go for the darkest one!!!” What I like about this self tanner is that it is gradual. You don’t notice a big change after one use. I only use this product on my legs, because my arms and neck are usually darker from just being outside, and it takes a couple of days to see a difference. Now, if you have ever used self tanners, you know that they smell really bad. This one doesn’t smell bad at all after applying, and it doesn’t turn you orange. This product has been around a long time, so if you haven’t used it in a couple of years, give it another shot, they have changed the formula.

7. Sea Salt Hair Spray

You know that look that your hair gets at the beach after swimming in the ocean? Those texturized, beachy waves? Well, now you can get the look at home, and you don’t even have to go to the beach! This is Bumble and Bumble’s Surf Spray. This is a texturizing hair spray made with sea salt that you spray all over your hair, and it gives you pretty beachy waves. I like to use this spray after I comb through wet hair, and just spray this in and let my hair air dry. You don’t need much, just a couple of spritzes and it doesn’t leave your hair crunchy. I also like to use this spray after I curl my hair, just to give it texture and volume.

8. Cute Hair Ties

These are cute little jewel-toned hair ties I found at Sephora. They come in packs of 8, and they just look so much cuter than just a plain old rubberband. They have a whole bunch of colors to choose from.

So those are my Summer Must Haves! I hope you enjoyed this post, and thanks so much for reading. Hope you have a great summer!

Mani Monday – Barbie Pink

Hi Guys! Hope y’all had a good weekend! It’s Monday, which means its time for a new manicure! Today’s manicure is a hot, neon, barbie-pink! This color is so fresh, and I feel like it makes me look tanned!

The formula of these polishes are similar to OPI, but these are around $5, while OPI is usually $9. They are thick, and two coats is all you need. I think it is just the perfect pink color for summer! Enjoy!

Products Used:
OPI Natural Nail Base Coat
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in “I Pink I Can”
China Glaze No-Chip Top Coat
