EAT | Crockpot Lemon Garlic Chicken

Using the crockpot for meals is my favorite!  Throw ingredients in; out comes a meal!  Today I am making some juicy delicious chicken that can go with pretty much any side dish.  Let’s get started.

What you need:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 c water
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cube of chicken bouillon
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley

Mix oregano, salt and pepper together.  Rub mixture onto the chicken.

Melt butter in skillet.  Place chicken breasts in skillet and brown both sides, about 3-5 min on each side.

After browned, place chicken breasts into crockpot.  In the same skillet, add water, lemon juice, garlic, and bouillon.  Mix together and bring to a boil.  Make sure the bouillon is dissolved.

Pour mixture over chicken and set crockpot to low.

Cook on low for about six hours.

After about 4 hrs, I like to start cutting the chicken so that it absorbs the liquid more.

30 minutes before eating, add your parsley to the crockpot.

I like to serve this chicken with rice, potatoes, or shred it and mix it up with a salad.

Enjoy!
